Then we go out snowmobiling to the glacier for one hour. We stop for photos and to enjoy the view once during the trip.
After that, we take you back to the meeting point.
Best to be there 15-20 minutes before the departure time.

This 4-hour snowmobile journey takes you through the distinct landscapes of the Icelandic Highlands. It begins at Gullfoss and allows you to experience the unique Icelandic vistas on your drive to the glacier in a 4x4 monster truck. Following a short instructional briefing, you’ll mount your snowmobile and traverse the length and breadth of Langjökull glacier. This excursion is an excellent addition for self-guided travellers exploring the Golden Circle and seeking to enrich their expedition.

- Please note the price is per person and there are 2 passengers per snowmobile.
- Please Note: There must be 1 adult per child or teenager in order to be able to join our tour.

Surreal! - A surreal experience worth taking on! From the start of the journey in a big off road truck trawling through snow, to snowmobiling on top of Iceland’s second largest glacier - what an experience. Kris was super knowledgable about the area and snowmobiles, and it was a pleasure to have such a lovely guy give us this tour. He even took a cheeky selfie when we asked for pictures hahah

Amazing company and unforgettable experience - Amazing experience, easy to find and very clear instructions throughout the entire activity. Punctual and clearly managed expectations. Very safe and exceptionally managed with the suits, snow mobiles and waiver process. Thank you to all involved and for making it a seamless process with unforgettable memories.

Amazing trip with the family - This trip was a great family adventure for us! The drivers and guides were amazing and made sure the kids were enjoying the whole trip. Highly recommend this as an exciting add on to you Golden Circle tour, the view from the glacier are hard to beat.

Snowmobiling in Iceland - This was an amazing experience, very exciting way to see the surroundings. I would definately recommend. They give you lots of warm equipment but make sure you bring warm socks and shoes that won’t get wet in the snow! I would also say on here the tour says it lasts 2 hours it actually lasts just over four so be prepared for that and eat before hand because you can get hungry. Also make sure you are on time because we were two minutes late because of the snow and they almost left without us. I would definitely do this experience again we had an amazing time !!

Excellent experience - Amazing experience if you never done again snowmobiling, but if you want something more “extreme” maybe you have to book with smaller group . 5 star experience and if I remember correctly the name of bus driver Camil he was amazing person and safe driver !

Brilliant! - Staff brilliant, loved snowmobiling, super jeep amazing.... weather dreadful!! Was a whiteout which made it a train of snowmobiling cos you couldn't see off the track! Good experience but would love to go again in the summer sun!

A fun experience but weather whited out the views for us today - Long drive from Gulfoss visitor centre (and waterfall, which is well worth seeing), through the bumpy terrain on the way to base camp where all the snow mobiles are kept. Great equipment/clothing provided and help given by the staff. Fun driving the snow mobiles but our day was a white-out as far as seeing the Langjokull glacier was concerned. Then the long drive back to Gulfoss in massive snow truck. Great driver.

Transportation had no heating… - We were promised a gorgeous ride up the glacier & back down and that’d be half the experience but the truck used for our transportation had no heating and the windows were completely frozen, inside and out - therefore couldn’t see a thing. It took an hour to arrive at the snowmobiles and we were already frozen from being inside the truck with no heat. On the way back we got stuck and it took over 1.5 hours - totallly frozen.

What was meant to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience turned to disappointment - Booked a tour on GetYourGuide operated by Reykjavik Sightseeing (RSS) on Tuesday 4th Feb. The part operated by RSS was great but as soon as they passed us over to Mountaineers of Iceland (MOI) we were loaded into the truck, asked to sign a waiver and just when we think everything is going smoothly, they announce last minute that they are cancelling our experience. At this point the coach had already left and they called it to come back. They said to us that we would receive an email to either reschedule or get a refund, which we never received. We couldn’t reschedule anyway as we were told that the next one would be on Fri 7th Feb, the day we were due to fly home. Some other guests said the previous day had been cancelled also, so they should have been well-prepared for this. When we contacted RSS about a refund they said they would have to check with MOI and would get back within 10 working days. Poor communication and customer service along with a disappointing experience, would not recommend.

Not worth it! - Horrible experience!
Very expensive, very big group (60-80 people?!?) and very long ride (almost 2h to go and the same to come back) to finally do 20 min of very slow snowmobile for children...
If you dare to go a bit faster, they will tell you off and ruin your experience!
For the same price you can go to Finland and do an 8 hour ride, much faster, in a group of 6 and with a cool guide...
