Perfect for a family day out! - The exhibits were super well done, especially the underwater tunnel where you can see sharks and stingrays swimming right above you. I loved checking out the jellyfish display; they were so mesmerizing in their glowing tanks. The interactive touch pools were fun too, letting you feel some sea stars and other creatures. Plus, the staff was friendly and knowledgeable, ready to share interesting facts. It’s a perfect spot to spend a few hours, especially if you’re with kids or just love marine life!

Ok - The aquarium was my favorite. As an adult it wasn’t worth the money although I will say that a place like this is excellent for children.

First time visit - awesome time! - This was the first time visiting Mall of America and we put all the attractions up to a vote. My three kids (13/11/8) all voted for the aquarium to be the first thing we saw and we were not let down! The animals all looked great, the tunnel was very cool, and the staff were friendly and very helpful. The facility was clean and modern. The 3D/Virtual adventure was so-so, but overall we enjoyed the experience.

Great for the family - I wasn’t sure what to expect with an aquarium in a mall but it was awesome. If we ever make it back to Minnesota we will be sure to visit.

Look for promo codes, love the jellies - The jellyfish are a favorite of ours. We go here pretty much anytime we go to MoA. Feeding the sting rays is not really worth it. We’ve done that at several places in the US & this one is hard to do for little kids. It will take as long as you want it too, if you are reading the information placards. If you aren’t it will go quickly. In the past we have done the behind the scenes which was fun. Look for promo codes on admissions, they have done grouped with other things at MoA and just theirs.

Nicely done, but quite expensive - There 8 of us met at MOA to go through Sea Life together. I had seen it over 20 years ago, so thought it would be worthwhile going through it again. I am not really one to do this kind of thing, but my wife and I were with family members and another family with two young kids, so it was fun watching the little kids enjoy it. We were here on Saturday, December 14, 2024 and entered at 3:30 pm. The others bought advance tickets, but my wife and I did not. We bought our tickets at a kiosk near the entry and had no waiting to get in. I think most people spend about an hour going through. I see some reviewers here gave a bad review and also say they spend less than 30 minutes going through. I would think about 1-1/2 to 2 hours is about right. Plenty to see and of course the underwater tunnel is the most fun. It really wasn't too crowded at all on a busy Saturday near Christmas. Our cost was about $27 each, you really need to enjoy sea creatures to see the value. My favorites were the loggerhead turtle and the seahorses, also many species you would never see out in the wild oceans.

Good way to spend an hour. - I had an overnight stay at a hotel attached to the Mall of America and, if you find yourself in the same situation, then the aquarium is a decent way to spend an hour. There are certainly better aquariums elsewhere but, for $26, this was about as good as I could have hoped. This is probably the most enjoyable attraction for adults at the Mall of America.

Great Experience Marred by Poor 3D Goggles Setup - The experience was amazing until the final activity—the 3D segment. Unfortunately, the lady in charge didn’t explain to the kids how to adjust the goggles, which led to a poor experience for them. The goggles were also loose for me, but I managed to adjust them while using them. However, because I was wearing the goggles, I couldn’t check on my kids. After the video, they told me they couldn’t see anything because the 3D glasses kept slipping off. A bit more training for the staff and a quick 30-second explanation to customers could have made all the difference. Sadly, this small oversight impacted the entire experience, as the kids were quite upset.

Sea life - My brother and I went last year and were disappointed. We went on the tour and the guy did a horrible job. For the price it would have been better going to Duluth to there under the sea water. Don't recommend it.
