Jewel In The Crown! - The National Museum of Computing is the ‘Jewel in the Crown ‘ of any visit to Bletchley Park , undoubtedly a highlight of our visit . Peter our guide gave us a fantastic insight into the world of the WW2 code breakers and even slightly attempting to understand what they achieved leaves you in awe of those that cracked the codes. The museum is run by a dedicated team of volunteers who keep the machines going they are an amazing team whose passion for their work shines through .We left feeling immensely proud and most definitely humbled by those heroes past and present at Bletchley Park. Go and take a visit you won’t regret it!

If you like computer history, this is the place to visit - If you are a computer history enthousiast, make sure you have at least a whole day to spend at the museum since it is absolutely loaded with unbelieveble historic systems. A lot of systems (including the oldest) can be seen functioning, while the volunteers will tell you all about those. When I entered a talk about The Bombe had just started, and right after that a talk about the Tunny machine, Heath Robinson machine and Colossus. Those talks altoghether took two whole hours but were worth every second for me. After a cup of coffee and a sandwich in the shop I continued my walk past all kinds of minicomputers, the WITCH, EDSAC and many more systems. Too much to see for one day! I ended up buying some nice gifts in the shop, including a very nice Colossus T-shirt (thank you to the young lady in the shop and the manager who went through a lot of trouble to find the right one for me!). One of the volunteers who was there too told me a lot about the building, and advised me to the faster train to London. Next time I'm in the neighbourhood I wil visit again!

A piece of history - how we won the war! - A really interesting museum highlighting the wonderful job Bletchley Park did to shorten and win World War II. The staff were able to explain in 'layman's terms' how the code was cracked and the early computers developed. The room with equipment from the 50s and 60s was also interesting

The Bombe - Interesting dive into the past of Computing. Excellent talks and demonstrations of the rebuilt Bombe and Colossus machines. Well worth a trip if in the Bletchley Park area.

Fantastic - Visited after Bletchley Park. Fantastic, friendly staff, who are so obviously enthusiastic and keen to share knowledge, and talk about the exhibits. Lots to look at and interact with. Wish we had skipped Bletchley altogether and spent more time here. Also, the code breaker machines are actually here.

Bletchley still delivering - I caught a train from London and walked the short distance to Bletchley. Signage at the street entry was poor with no signage to the entry. Once in, the experience was well worth the visit. Such a vital part of our history.
