What a treat! - We had a fabulous garden club group visit, Dan the Head Gardener was great and utterly passionate about the plants and garden. For a plantaholic like myself it was fantastic, I was bowled over by the diverse collection of plants. Well done to all involved.

Well worth a visit. - Beautiful place to visit. The gardens are wonderful and so well designed. The staff are super helpful and the Tearoom offers reasonably priced refreshments in pretty surroundings. The house gives a great insight into local social history. The shop has some interesting gift ideas and the second hand book shop is the best I have ever come across.

Beautiful gardens - Beautiful gardens! There are well taken care of and they do not feel immense and impersonal. It is perfect to take a book and sit in front of the Tokyo bridge. The house itself was less impressive. We just did a quick tour

Charming Retreat - This is a delightful escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. The tranquil ambiance and well-kept gardens make it a perfect spot for a leisurely stroll. The historical house is a fascinating peek into the past, although some areas felt a bit cramped. The staff were friendly and helpful, enhancing the overall experience. I would recommend a visit, especially during the blooming seasons. Overall, a lovely day out.

Need to improve the cafe - Lovely gardens but object to paying 10% extra to gift aid. Cafe is overpriced, very limitef vegetarian cold options. Margarine not butter. Insufficient brollies on terrace for such a hot day.

5 star gardens 1 star afternoon tea - The gardens are absolutely lovely and a really nice place to spend a couple of hours. The house and its history are interesting. However the afternoon tea was terrible and spoilt our visit. It was pre-packed sandwiches from the fridge cut up, a small piece of sausage roll, a very soggy quiche which seemed to have been frozen. Bite size cakes and scones which were poor quality and also seemed to have been frozen. The selection of the cakes and scones that were available on the counter appeared to be far better quality. We were so disappointed and wished we had just had a normal slice of cake which we would have enjoyed much more. This was supposed to be a birthday treat from my mom for me and my daughter and I just feel that she has been ripped off, it was not worth £20 per person. Afternoon tea should be a special treat but it was inferior compared to other things that’s were on offer.

Cafe as awful as ever - Beautiful house and gardens but, oh ,dear the cafe is still as awful as when we visited 2 years ago. Cake as dry as sawdust and weird tasting coffee. Please Winterbourne get this sorted.

Blight on experience of superb gardens. - Tea room at Winterbourne absolutely appalling. Winterbourne itself so good that it is a travesty. Extremely surly staff memberLeisha with another girl who was being verbally monopolised by some private repartee throughout. Rude, rude! Dismissive of me throughout order, no interaction, no smile, no eye contact, dirty look and rolling eyes due to my interrupting by placing order. then tea consisted of tepid water in a pot and a teabag hidden elsewhere under a saucer. This is not tea. Adjacent visitors complaining coffees cold and completely without coffee content ? Terrible. Arrogant. Still reeling as I love this place so much.
