A great day out - I had a great day out at Cadbury World with grandkids, but beware, they get very chocolatey! 😄 A special shout out to Josh, who went out of his way to help us when we found ourselves the wrong side of the barrier; he let us thru rather than us having to go back to the start, and was so humerous, the kids won't forget him!

Great as always. - Great as always. Have been several times. The new system which directs customers around the attraction works really well. The place was busy but no great queues for anything. One small criticism - it's about time the 4D show is updated. I've seen the same show so many times over the years.

We love Cadbury World! - We went to Cadbury World as a stop of on our way back home from holiday, I was a bit worried having read the reviews. But we were really pleased with our experience so feel I needed to write a review based on our trip. I went with my partner Nick and our daughter Issy who is 10. Nick and I have been before back in 2013 but this was Issy's first time visiting. The queue to enter Cadbury World looked really long but went by really quickly. Especially after the staff had made an announcement about only the guests with 13:10 time tickets should be queuing the queue then got significantly shorter. I found the staff to be very quick and efficient a member of staff was working her way down the line scanning tickets, it was actually guests having trouble finding their tickets that actually slowed this process down. We received three chocolate bars each so 9 in total, when entering Cadbury World this is plenty and was the same amount Nick and I received in 2013. I actually much preferred the selection of chocolates received this time than previously. I liked that you could buy a bag to put your chocolates in as this wasn't an option previously. once in it didn't feel busy and we could go at our own pace we really liked the Aztec Jungle, there's a game in there about what the Mayan's put in their hot chocolate which Issy found really interesting. Most games were either free to use or a really short wait, after recently visiting a wonderlab at a museum and having to wait a good 15 minutes for games to then have people push in this was really good in comparison.
The chocolate making video with moving seats was really good fun, really liked the chocolate making demonstration too. I was slightly disappointed that the Cadbury chocolate you get in the pot isn't melted but thought the portion of buttons was generous and liked that you could add jelly babies. I got a personalised chocolate slab for a friends birthday and was very impressed with the end results I know she'll be thrilled to receive it. The queue for the have a go area was big but again the staff did a really good job at controlling this giving people plenty of time to have a go but moving them on to the next part swiftly, clearing the stations and refilling quickly. The chocolate doddle and tempering stations were great, Issy was a pro at tempering the chocolate and a member of staff noticed this making and praised her efforts which made Issy's day! I preferred the 4D chocolate adventure to the chocolate quest ride personally. Issy really enjoyed both and couldn't pick a favourite between the two. Photo's were great I got a keyring and a magnet, I felt reasonably priced compared to other attractions photo prices too. The Bournville experience is interesting, I love the advertising avenue part and seeing the Gorilla playing the drums this was always my favourite Cadbury's advert. I thought the shop was well priced and there was good offers on, although I was disappointed that there wasn't any mis shapes left as these are mine and my Mums favourite. We then went outside to the play area, my daughter had a play on the African adventure and we saw the Freddo music show. This is definitely aimed at much younger children, but was good fun. All in all a very good day out we were at Cadbury World from 13:10 - 16:30. We thought it was well worth the money and would 100% recommend!

Good visit - Good visit with children aged 5 and 9 using Merlin pass (without I would say the attraction is poor value for money), you get 3 free bars of chocolate on entry. . The 4D cinema experience, chocolate tempering and chocolate "drawing" were highlights of the visit. Gift shop as most attractions was quite pricey. There is quite a bit of history which my kids passed on and the tour inclusive of using the freeplay areas probably was no more than 2hours in total. We visited at 9am on a Friday during school summer holidays and there was no queueing for entry or other parts.
To rate the attraction 5/5 I would like to see more for children to do

Worth an hour or two if you are a Merlin passholder - We visited 30/8 at 10:00am slot , the signal is horrendous in there so make sure you screen shot your tickets , we are Merlin pass holders and we had the time booked so hoped we could just scan our cards at the entrance but after queuing we couldn’t so we queued up to be told they need the tickets too , I couldn’t get in the portal so had to go outside to get signal to get on the portal to get the tickets , luckily the lady was really lovely and let us go back down the access queue so we didn’t have to wait again 🥰
We went around a little rainforest which didn’t really tell you much about why you was there , it had a few screen games that were all full of kids already using so we had a go on one ( it was a bit boring and my daughter couldn’t answer the questions because we had no idea how the chocolate was made )
We then entered a theatre which was full of screaming kids that were bored , I couldn’t hear a thing so still no idea how chocolate was made 🤷🏻♀️
The next theatre was more fun ( couldn’t hear much again with a crying baby in our row ) but there was shaking seats and a twirly thing above .
Next was painting in chocolate , now I loved that I could have done it all day , the lady running the queue was amazing I wish I had her name so you could tell her how good she was .
We got some melted chocolate and watched the workers , I loved this bit , however it was too crowded to stop and really watch .
We moved in to advertising, the monkey was some massive nostalgia for me but my 8 year old was bored 😢
Then we came outside to have a choice of 4D cinema or the ride first so we did the ride first ( it wasn’t amazing )
We then went through the shop to what we thought was the 4D cinema and the playground but having to show our tickets again , getting to the playground we saw the 4D cinema but couldn’t get to it , we was then told by a member of the little food hut that it was part of the tour and we needed to go back to the entrance to speak to the staff so we could go do it (What a farce ) he then took us through a staff gate so we could avoid the entrance again ( he was so nice and helpful )
The 4 D was fantastic we loved it . Then back through the tour and back to the playground again , also having to show my tickets for the third time 🤦🏻♀️
I would have scored it 2 but because I have a Merlin pass and it was a stop off on the way home from down south it was worth dropping in , however as a non pass holder I wouldn’t be happy paying more than £10 for this attraction ! It’s a 3 hour maximum place

Avoid paying for this! - What a waste. I came here as a child and it was a proper tour around the chocolate factory. I wanted to replicate that with my own child but the process now is a series of timed events. Watch a show, watch a film, walk through a section, watch a demo, and in between all these there is so much waiting and queuing. The melted chocolate section is broken and had been (according to reviews) for weeks but the staff were still saying you could grab some melted chocolate which was untrue. It was chaotic.
Fun bits are writing with chocolate, the play area and that's it.
The rest is not worth it.
Please do not pay to buy an entry ticket to this place. Such a waste!
If you have a merlin pass and can go anyway, make sure you get an early morning slot to avoid the queues building up.

Moooooooo 🐄 - Herded round like cattle. Too many people in each time slot.
Couldn’t see or hear the chocolate demonstration. Screaming children and talking adults meant couldn’t hear much of the Cadbury Story.
Spent the whole tour just standing in queues.
My daughter was very bored and she didn’t enjoy it and neither my husband nor I.
The staff also seem thoroughly miserable in their jobs and put even more of a dampener on the day.

Awful experience and VERY expensive. - a very expensive day out - and the queues were so bad that the children were bored and restless, waiting over half an hour to an hour for each section to see an outdated bit of a museum that needs desperately updating. You no longer go through the factory as you used to so and the cost was enormous - absolutely awful experience for the family (children 9 and 4). Not to be recommended at all!

Not a good experience - Boring , jaded and a waste of money. Dreadful experience not in the least bit interesting.
You’d think that given the size of the company they’d make something more appealing and up to date.
Wouldn’t recommend at all.

Terrible - Absolutely terrible. Will not go again. Waited ages for the 4D cinema - they need to give SOME priority to those waiting in the long line! Didn't even get melted chocolate which was the worst bit. Just a pot with chocolate in. Nobody asked if we wanted melted chocolate??? I dont know if that was even a thing anymore. It says on the website it is. Waited about an hour to doodle and mess with temperature chocolate which was ridiculous and deffo wasn't worth it. The 4d cinema was the best bit. And then we got stuck on the new ride (which was terrible) and there was a family that was annoying us the whole way round and unfortunately they got put on our car. I wanted to get off immediately. I wish I had said. I didnt even bother to look at the photos because of them. The car behind us had one family on. So not really fair. By the way - it was sold out so no excuse why they had to shove others onto the car and there was an car with an empty back seat on the one after us.
