- Amish Country - Enjoy a traditional Amish family-style meal, served at the home of one of our Amish neighbors. We work with an Amish family who has a catering license. They prepare the food, a menu of delicious, hearty, authentic Amish favorites. They have the fully licensed, inspected, and ServSafe certified kitchen, but they don’t have the space to host the meal. So, we work with another Amish family to host the meal. They have the room for hosting guests, but not the commercial kitchen. Combining the expertise of these two Amish families, we are able to offer a guided tour in our 14 passenger mini bus, which culminates with the wonderful PA Dutch meal, cooked and served by Amish at their home. The whole experience takes 2.5 hours. The tour departs from the Amish Experience at 4:30pm sharp. We do an hour of farmland touring, making a quick stop at an Amish road-side quilt or craft shop, and then arrive at the farm for the meal at 5:30pm. You return to the Amish Experience at around 7:00pm.

Lovely experience - We went on a van with several people to an Amish home for a meal. The van driver Dana Johnson was super informative on Amish history and culture. When we arrived we were lead to a big basement. The home was very clean and ready for us. Our hostess and daughter served us a typical Amish meal. They encouraged us to eat all we wanted and answered any questions we asker. After a delicious meal she took us on a tour of her home. Also if you wanted she had food, crafts, canned goods and even plants for sale. All items were reasonably priced. This is my second year to tour PA I highly recommend this experience. Thanks Roger and Cindy SC.

Uncomfortable - This was an awkward experience. My sister and I were very uncomfortable. We really didn’t realize we were going to eat in someone’s basement while the host waited on us hand and foot. And then sit there talking to a bunch of strangers while the host cleaned up after us while we were there. And then there’s the awkwardness of not everyone having the same table manners and being disgruntle about how the food was passed around a table of 15 people. The food was good the hostess was very nice the tour guide full of info but a little heavy on weird humor. I can’t add photos because we were advised not to take photos

Not as advertised - The meal was in a building on Amish owned property. The room was big and bland with plywood floors. It was NOT in a home and did NOT look like the photo. The Amish people did not talk to us except to serve the food. There was plenty of food, but it was nothing special. It did not feel like any kind of “Amish experience.” Just another meal with the tour group.
