Great experience - It was a wonderful experience. They were kind enough to guide us so that even those of us who don't speak English well could understand, and we were able to travel around the main spots comfortably. I want to be part of it again.

Amazing day with Leolani! - Our guide, Leolani, did an amazing job! She provided lots of history and general information about the island. She gave thorough instructions about how much time would be spent at each stop, where the bathrooms were, etc. My husband and I were discussing that she was one of our best tour guides ever! Great job, Leolani!!

Kimo is the Best Tour Guide! - The Majestic Waterfall Tour was an amazing way to see the Hilo side of the big island! We were staying on the Kona side of the island, so we booked directly through the tour operator’s website where they have expanded pick up options. Our tour guide Kimo (aka James) was awesome! He picked us up promptly in Kona and had cold waters ready for us. In addition to seeing the beautiful waterfalls as advertised, Kimo went above and beyond to show us some extra spots as well. He was very flexible with our itinerary and allotted for bonus photo opportunities. Kimo heard that we were interested in seeing the big statue of the king that united all of the Hawaiian islands, so he drove us there for pictures. He also allowed us to have a quick stop at the famous Japanese gardens to stretch our legs. When we were hungry, Kimo also took us for a quick snack and dole whip. If you want an authentic tour with a native Hawaiian guide, then you must book with Malahini Tours!

Waterfall Gem - Leah was very personable and gave a great local tour. Since we had a small group, she asked if we were interested in stopping at several local hot spots that were not on the original tour.

Fantastic - Alex did such a fantastic job. He showed us the must see places at the right time to avoid the crowds and we could tell he liked thee places too. I would tell anyone to do this. Pick up was so easy at the Port of Hilo as we were on the NCL Pride of America.

Volcano plus - Great tour. Totally recommend. So much info and history on this wonderful part of the world. Well paced tour hitting all the sights (and more) with insightful and informative history lesson thrown in. Great tour.

Small group way better than the cruise ship herd. - Excellent value! Loved the small group. Our guide was very knowledgeable and provided us with a memorable experience. He was very gracious and took a ton of pictures! Our guide, Kyle, Alex, aka 0007!

Beautiful and Enjoyable Tour - My husband and I very much enjoyed this private tour with Leolani. Akaka and Rainbow Falls are both beautiful as are also the views on the way to Akaka. The boiling pots and black beach were also highlights. Leolani grew up in Hawaii and is now raising her family there. Her personal perspective and wealth of knowledge added so much to our tour. She was also so kind and accommodating. She took multiple photos for us, had an umbrella available when it rained a little, knew the best parking places and viewing spots. We were picked up promptly at the cruise pier and dropped off exactly on time when the tour was over. Would book another tour with this company in a heartbeat! And would love to sometime see more of the Big Island.

The best way to see Hilo! - The Lava was flowing so we went straight to Volcano park and did our tour " backwards". Alex kept us entertained and informed the whole time. All the best stories from an authentic Hawaiian! The Lava plumes were awesome! Felt like we were part of a National Geographic show. Alex took us to all the best vantage points to enhance our experience above and beyond! Lava tube, waterfall, turtles on the beach, black beach... I would give him an eleven if I could!

Amazing experience with Malahini Tours. Tour guide was charming, knowledgeable, and very funny..... - Alex, our tour guide was simply amazing. So knowledgeable about the island and couldn't help you enough. The views were fabulous, and Alex took photos of our group too. Which was so personal and added to the experience. Can't thank you enough Alex. You really are a lovely man and tour guide ♥️ Really recommend. 10 out of 10.......
