I was nervous about being... - I was nervous about being out in the ocean but you are fairly close to shore. I also worried it would be very cold but the water was nice but choppy. Some people got motion sickness. It was truly an amazing experience. I loved every minute and the guides were terrific.

This is my second time... - This is my second time through Hang Loose Boat Tours and the first time was phenomenal. The second time, those Manta Rays were just up and personal, doing the Kona flip right underneath myself and each guest! The staff were great! Thanks Bryce and Jordan, and the rest of the team!

Amazing experience! - Amazing!! The manta rays literally swim up to you. Something everyone should experience once in their life! The crew members were very informative and a lot of fun.

A must while on the big island - Amazing experience. Didn’t know what to expect, but would do it again. Short boat ride about 15 minutes to the area. Sacks and drinks were chips granola bars, water and sprite. Crew was great and very helpful. Keep a great atmosphere and had some great humor. Our captain was Lana.

Fun Crew, Amazing Manta Rays! - Despite getting a bit motion sick, this turned out to be one of the most magical experiences of our trip! The crew cracked jokes the whole time and kept us feeling at ease as we approached the manta spot. The crew was attentive and guided us through how to be safe and get the most out of the experience! They offered snacks on board the ship and were able to find us some beautiful Manta Rays to observe! If you do get motion sick, please be sure to take medicine before hand as the waves can get a bit choppy once you are on the floating board in the water!

Small number! BUT super intimate encounter! - The night snorkel with Steve and Eleo was a great time. Very personable guys, wonderful adventure with great direction and instructions. We were on island time, scheduled to meet at 8:30, but was closer to 9pm. We were provided with wetsuit tops, and the water was cold late March at night. We had a small group of 15 making the trip much more personal experience and easy to maneuver around the boat. We saw two manta rays during our snorkeling time, and they were super close while feeding. A little disappointing in the number, but we had an unusually active night during our 2012 Manta ray swim with 35 counted. Nature cannot be predicted! There were lots of spinner dolphins in the area swimming and diving for us, for a few minutes of more entertainment on our snorkel tour.

A must do!! - Absolutely amazing I am so glad I found this! It is also very rare manta rays only come to this island in Hawaii and this side of the island! Worth every penny for the show and the guides were well informed and made it so fun cracking jokes and giving all the info in such a fun way!

Coolest thing we did in... - Coolest thing we did in Hawaii (and we saw the volcano explode). Highly recommend. Very friendly staff. Great experience.

Gotta check this out! - Crazy cool adventure, can't say if I'll ever get to do something like this again! I would definitely recommend this to folks I know.

Bad info, got a refund - We were unable to attend because Viator gave us the wrong pick up point. Three other groups were there with us. Not the tour company fault. Called and got our money refunded. Disappointed not to take the outing which we hear is amazing. Lesson: double check with tour company after booking to make sure details are correct. Other outings with Viator have been fine.
