Tour duration from departure to return is about 50 minutes in length which includes 25-30 minutes of water time.

-Participants must be experienced swimmers and in good health in order to participate.
-Must have basic snorkeling experience.
-Weight Policy: Anyone 260 and over (not to exceed 320) is required to purchase an additional seat.

Swimming with magical giants as they dance and float right in front of your eyes is a truly magical Kona experience!
Our night manta ray snorkel tours begin departing at 6 p.m. and run until 10 p.m. and last about an hour.
Important note:
-Participants must be experienced swimmers and in good health in order to participate.
-Must have basic snorkeling experience.
-Weight Policy: Anyone 260 and over (not to exceed 320) is required to purchase an additional seat.
- All participants must be experienced swimmers and have snorkel experience. Children must be 5 and over to board the boat. Due to the type of boat we operate (RHIB) we are unable to allow service animals on board.
- 25-30 minutes of water time
- 50 minutes includes travel by boat time as well

Amazing experience!!!! 100/10 - It an incredible experience. Once in a lifetime opportunity. Everyone in the group had an amazing time and all of us would recommend it to anyone coming here. We recommend booking through my Kona adventures, it was a small group of us that went out so it wasn’t too crowded and the crew was amazing. Luis, Chloe and Peyton were great and made the trip out so enjoyable! We will definitely be back to do it again and hope to have the same crew! We saw over 12 mantas during our tour and they were so active. We all had GoPros to capture footage of the excursion too which we would definitely tell you to do the same!

Best experience in Big Island! - Absolutely once in a lifetime experience to see Manta Ray at night and getting them very close to you. We saw a few Manta circling back to us several times. The tour is excellent, totally recommended and they all have amazing crews and operators. Thanks for giving us very beautiful experience!

Back flips and Wing Tips - My teenage son is interested in studying marine biology in college and was blown away by this amazing experience. The crew was very professional and organized, and the rays didn't disappoint, feeding right in front of us. Incredible. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the Big Island. I brought my own 3 mil short-sleeve wetsuit, but the water was warm and the suit was not really needed in August.
The rays are huge -- the biggest was about 18 feet wing tip-to-wing tip, so not for anyone who is freaked out by large ocean animals which can and do brush against you as they perform back flips underwater (the rays are harmless).
I also saved money by paying cash. Highly recommend.

So Many Mantas - Excellent experience. Crew were wonderful. Very efficient, 3 minute boat ride to the Manta site and then quickly in the water. We were lucky to see 10-11 Mantas after a few minutes of drifting with the lighted floatation device. About 20 minutes of Manta viewing and then 3 minutes back to harbor. Experience met my expectations and was very happy to see so many Mantas. Highly recommend this tour (especially if you cannot tolerate long boat rides).

Awesome experience - Did the 8/11 tour at 8:30pm. Truly an amazing experience…saw so many mantas that swam within inches of us. Absolutely a bucket list item. Highly recommend! Thank you to Will, Preston, Chloe and Louie for your professionalism and for making it a night to remember!

Fantastic memories with loads of manta rays - We had an amazing experience this evening, with about 9 huge rays somersaulting around right in front of our faces. Thanks so much to Danny, Eliza, Louis and Chloe for making it such a fantastic memory for us all - our kids were a bit nervous beforehand but they were so reassuring and supported us so well. We were pleased we had hired the wetsuits too.

Manta Ray snorkel 7:40pm 8/11/24 - This was such a fun experience!! I am 12 years old and I went w my family, I am usually a snow girl, and dog girl. I went to Alaska not to long ago, and did a dogsled adventure there, it was the best experience ever and this was just about tied w the dog sledding!!!! Which is a wonderful thing to say for me. The staff was amazing!! They were all very kind and funny. Please say thank you to them, Chloe, Louie, Preston, and Will! Really great job, everyone seemed knowledgeable and got a sense that they really cared about the Manta rays!
