Experience the Manta Ray Night Snorkel in Kona! After a brief 3-minute boat journey from the harbor, participants will enter the water and float on the surface while holding onto a specially designed light board. The powerful dive lights, exceeding 150,000 lumens, attract plankton, which in turn lure the magnificent manta rays to glide and feed just inches below. This awe-inspiring, close-up encounter is led by a professional team, including a licensed captain, swim guide, and certified lifeguard. Water time ranges from approximately 20 to 40 minutes, depending on ocean conditions and other factors.

*Statistically, the later at night the excursion, the more manta rays are observed, and the duration of their presence increases significantly! Early excursions tend to be crowded, making manta ray sightings more challenging.

Participants must be proficient swimmers and comfortable in open ocean conditions. Wetsuits and lifejackets are available for optional rental. Complimentary masks and snorkels are provided, or participants may bring their own.

• Previous snorkeling experience is required
• Guests must be able to independently climb up a boat ladder
• Guest must be able to converse in English to understand verbal instructions and safety briefings
• 17 Guests maximum per group
• Not recommended for those who have recently undergone surgery or who may have mobility/physical restrictions.
• Maximum weight cannot exceed 275 pounds per guest.
