Wonderful snorkeling experience - We had a wonderful snorkeling trip to Kealakekua Bay in Kona. The crew did an excellent job of balancing professionalism and concern for our safety with maximizing our ability to enjoy the area and its history. We definitely recommend them!

Laid back and beat the crowds! - We wanted a snorkeling experience at captain cook that would beat the large crowds and give us time to do more exploring on the island…this delivered! It was a great small group with plenty of time to snorkel. We felt safe with Alan and Lindsay, and it was great to get in the water at least 30 min before other boats showed up and completely done when the huge boats came and blocked off large areas. This wasn’t a “fancy” tour, and that’s exactly what we were looking for. They pointed out some great spots on the way back, and we had a really nice time.

Great Small Group Tour - Great small group snorkeling trip to amazing Kealakekua Bay! We didn't see any dolphins, but that wasn't the fault of the Hawaii Oceanic crew. Definitely worth the trip!

Small group- only 6 of us on the Hawaii Oceanic. Great snorkeling! - Only 6 people on our tour! Hawaii Oceanic is the best. After watching multiple overloaded zodiacs leaving the harbor on snorkeling tours, we were relieved when the Hawaii Oceanic came to pick us up. (Wait in front of restroom if they aren’t at the boat ramp when you arrive) It was just 6 of us plus 2 crew. So nice and the boat is way better than those inflatable zodiacs. Our snorkeling day couldn’t have been any better. Captain Cook snorkeling was great. We saw a humpback whale on the way back too. We missed the dolphins who showed up while we were in the water a ways away. Snacks, drinks and water served on board. Would highly recommend!!

Super friendly guides! - We had a great time with Captain Justin and Jayna. They were super friendly and engaging with us and really connected well with our 6 year old son. They had some great history to share of the area and even took us into some cool caves spots on the way back to the harbor. We were the first boat to arrive at the snorkel spot. Highly recommended!

Book with a different company. - Our 8 AM tour was canceled due to low bookings. Really? At least we received notice 11 hours before, unlike others that posted poor reviews. Highly recommend using a different company. We got a snorkel with someone else on short notice, thankfully. We were offered a refund but it hasn’t come yet.

Disappointing they canceled - The 7am snorkel was cancelled at 8pm the night before. So disappointing. Only 2 of us so it wasn’t worth their time. Fortunately we were able to get an afternoon snorkel with Paradise snorkel.
