Informative and engaging Cloud Forest tour - We visited the Sanctuary at the recommendation of friends and were truly awarded with a great experience. Our tour guide Daniel gave us a thoroughly engaging and very informative tour. The tour was thoughtful and well paced. We highly recommend visiting the Sanctuary. We also did the Sound Bath next door at the Wellness Center and thought it was amazing.

Fun and inspiring experience - This was a super experience. This cloud forest has been regenerated in just the past 42 years. There's so much life here and a great variety of plants, a mix of indigenous, endemic and introduced plants. Many of the introduced plants were used due to their rapid growth in order to give the forest a jump start. Awesome experience.

Our visit to the Kona Cloud Forest Sanctuary was exceptional! - Our visit to the Kona Cloud Forest Sanctuary was exceptional! You don't want to miss this. Our guide, Daniel, was knowledgeable, passionate, and committed to offering us a fabulous morning in the cloud forest. We learned so much about the natural history of this area and of The Big Island. We weren't sure about doing this, given the cost, but we are so glad we did! This one family has lovingly transformed former cattle pastures back into a fascinating cloud forest where flora and fauna thrive. Participating in this tour is a wonderful way to give back to Hawaii and to the effort to restore the cloud forest. A huge thumbs up / 5 star experience!

Wonderful retreat - Wonderful experience. Seeing how nature can be restored and survive. Getting a sense of the ecosystem of Hawaii. What is was… how man impacted it.. and how it can be restored. Great tour guide Daniel

A Delightful Experience! - I booked this tour for my partner’s birthday lead by Daniel as well as the hour long sound bath with Pam afterwards. Cannot express enough just how inspiring, educational and marvelous this experience was. Daniel was so personable and informative, sharing his passion with the group of the importance and sacredness of the cloud forest. I would recommend everyone visiting the big island to experience this sanctuary at least once if they’re able to. Only tip I would share is that if you do, please respect the sanctity of the space by NOT taking any “souvenirs” from the forest itself like some others in our tour group…But my disappointment in them is in no way a reflection of the Kona Cloud Sanctuary itself!

A Unique Experience - This is a very unique place and is well worth the visit. It is hard to imagine that this forest was a grassland and had livestock about 40 years ago. The tour was informative, and our guide, David, was very knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and passionate about the environment. Overall, it was a great experience, and we would highly recommend visiting this unique place.

Not worth the time and money - Too much hype fur what we got out of it. Entry fee is pretty steep and is not worth it. You can do much more on your own than taking this tour
