Amazing experience!!... - Amazing experience!! Highly recommend using this charter. We were lucky to catch a marlin in the first hour despite it being a slower season. Clay and Dean were super helpful.

Amazing trip! Will be remembered for years! - We had the best time on this trip. My son caught a short nose spear fish in the last hour of our trip. Highly recommend this boat! They are totally there to catch you a fish!

Fantastic - 10/10 recommend! - I booked this activity for my husband, son in law and 13 year old grandson, not realizing that my grandson might not be able to pull in a fish due to the amount of fight the fish put up. However, Captain Brent let him sit up with him and kept him entertained and chatting while the other two tried their hand a catching the elusive blue marlin. Afterwards, I asked my grandson how he enjoyed it and he was grinning from ear to ear. The morning outing for this tour hadn't had any luck with the marlins and they didn't hold out a lot of hope for the afternoon outing but would give it a try. A few minutes out of port, my son in law hooked a blue marlin, before the instructions on how to reel it in were completed! Talk about on the job training! Not long after that, my husband also hooked a blue marlin. Captain Brent and the first mate said they didn't remember the last time they had hooked two in one outing. The boat was clean and well maintained and both captain and first mate were knowledgeable and super friendly. I honestly cannot express my appreciation enough as this was a bucket list item for both my husband and son in law. This was the one excursion my son in law specifically asked for and it could not have been a better experience.

Exceptional time - Loved Logan and Dean. Brent was kind enough to offer us an earlier charter. We had a blast and would definitely book again. Dean the fresh poke was a plus. Mahalo and much love Dawn and Matt Hinz.

Captain Brent and his... - Captain Brent and his mate Logan were really awesome. They are so knowledgeable and professional. We really enjoyed hanging with them on the boat for 5 hours too. We caught our first fish 20 minutes in and our son got to reel it in. Caught a 15 lb Ono !! Per Brent's suggestion we took it to Ocean Chinese and they cooked it up 3 ways!! It was delicious. Such a cool "sea to table" experience. The boat was great and we had the best time.

Much needed fishing excursion....and connection with the ocean!!!!! - Thank you Captain Brent and First Mate Jay for an amazing 5 hour experience on the beautiful waters of Kona!!! I personally always wished for a private fishing excursion and now was the time as I could enjoy with my recently graduated 22 year old son and his buddy! Boat was immaculate and both Brent & Jay were as fun and personable as anyone could ask for. Not just a fishing trip...but a cultural experience with new friends! Thank you and we will be back for sure!!

GREAT CHARTER, GREAT CAPTAIN! - We are a family of 4, 2 kids 11/13 from the Midwest. I’ve done my share of charters around the world, not a ton, but fishing is what I know and love. Cpt. Brent and his Deckhand Logan were top notch fishermen, hosts and humans! From the very second I booked on FishingBooker.com, I get a call from Brent saying he got the booking and wanted to just say “Hi” and chatted a bit with me. Totally unexpected and great service. We booked the a.m. 5-hour charter and from the second we got there and even after the friendliness and service was amazing. Our goal was to get the kids bit and have some excitement and make memories. We did all of that except getting bit, but not for lack of effort by Cpt Brent and Logan. They both were amazing in prepping us and explaining the finer details of fishing and Hawaii in general. They were amazing with the kids, keeping them engaged and excited can be hard when the fish don’t cooperate, and they succeeded amazingly. We saw a humpback, pilot whales a few dolphins and learned a ton about fishing/Kona/Hawaii. He let my son drive a bit on the way back to the harbor and it was a highlight of his for sure. Now we had no expectations of going over our time on the water, but it happened that we did and I know he was really trying to get us that one hook up. Much appreciated!! I have never had a Cpt. Of a charter be so accommodating and willing to just share his knowledge like Cpt. Brent. He even has an itinerary to help you see some highlights of the big island he was willing to share after the tour and told us to reach out anytime if we had questions on our visit. I know we will be back to the Big Island and first on our list when we do come back is to book more fishing with Reel Escapes and Cpt. Brent. It will be a core memory for us and it the hospitality we received will never go unappreciated!

Great fishing experience - Great experience fishing with Will and Jay. Both were very friendly and knowledgeable, and my teenage son ended up reeling in 2 blue marlins in our morning cruise, which made him so happy. Thanks for great memories.

This is not one after... - We had a great time. Went with my wife and two boys (12 & 14). Captain and crew were great. This is not one after another type fishing. This is trolling in search of that one bite. The potential fish of a lifetime. You need to be okay with having a nice boat ride in a beautiful place.
