As the sun began its descent over the horizon, painting the sky with hues of orange and pink, I found myself aboard a boat at Honokohau Harbor, ready to embark on a night snorkeling adventure with manta rays. Captain Kelly and his crew, AJ and Kalai, welcomed us with warm smiles and a genuine enthusiasm that was infectious. They took the time to ensure each of us was comfortable, fitting us with wetsuit tops to keep us warm in the cool evening waters.
