Travel from the visitor center to Kilauea crater for breathtaking views of the smoking caldera and steaming volcanic vents, and walk inside the iconic Nahuku (Thurston Lava Tube). Enjoy a complimentary island-inspired lunch at a local restaurant. Later, visit Punaluʻu black sand beach, the most famous black sand beach on the Big Island, and marvel at the stunning scenery of Rainbow Falls in Hilo.

Fantastic Day - We had an absolutely incredible experience out of Hilo, Hawaii thanks to this amazing tour company! From start to finish, everything was seamless, fun, and full of unforgettable moments.
Our guides, Desmond and Anthony, were phenomenal — incredibly knowledgeable, entertaining, and genuinely passionate about sharing the beauty and history of the island. They truly went above and beyond to make sure everyone had a great time.
The tour included the breathtaking Rainbow Falls, Volcanoes National Park, the mysterious Thurston Lava Tube, and the stunning Black Sand Beach. Each stop was well-paced and packed with interesting facts and local stories.
One of the best surprises of the day was lunch at the Volcano's Lava Rock Café — a small, family-owned restaurant with delicious local flavors. The pork and mahi mahi were absolutely amazing!
This tour was the perfect way to explore the Big Island, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. If you’re visiting and want a truly memorable experience, ask for Desmond and Anthony — they’re the best!

Volcano's, Waterfalls, Black Sand Beaches and More - If you are going to be on NCL Pride of America highly consider this option.Great experience from pickup to drop off at the cruise ship. The tour shows parts of Volcano National Park that others leave out or cannot access. Rainbow Falls and the black sand beach live up to their billing and plenty of time is provided at both. The tour has lots of hands on shells and artifacts that are shown in the tour van while traveling from spot to spot. The lunch that you get to pick from at Lava Rock Cafe is very good and has lots of choices. We were treated with a fruit plate from the local that was beyond delicious and we also tasted local macadamia nut candy that was provided with the tour!! This tour is an A++!!

The tour guides were... - The tour guides were great! Very informative. I loved seeing the local relics as well. Desmond was talking to me about all the medicinal uses of the plants in the area and that was very interesting. I appreciated him sharing that information with me!

We thoroughly enjoyed... - We thoroughly enjoyed this excursion - our guide (Anthony) was excellent! He was friendly, knowledgeable about the area and sights with helpful insights regarding the sites. Desmond, our driver was friendly and helpful, providing assistance when I sprained my ankle.

Great tour! - Great history of the island great storyteller. Driver was excellent. He helped n us through the tunnel with a flashlight and stayed with us the entire time. Wonderful lunch at a locally run restaurant. All outstanding.

Unforgettable Hilo Adventure – One of the Best Tours We’ve Ever Taken! - Our family recently took a tour along the coast of Hilo, Hawaii, and without a doubt, it was one of the best excursions we’ve ever experienced anywhere in the world. The guides, Desmond and Anthony, were absolutely outstanding, friendly, incredibly knowledgeable, and full of passion for their island and its rich history. Their enthusiasm made every stop on the tour come alive.
The highlight was visiting the breathtaking Kilauea Crater, followed by an unforgettable walk through the Thurston Lava Tube, an awe-inspiring journey through a natural wonder. We were blown away by the stunning views at Punaluʻu Black Sand Beach, where the contrast of the dark sand and the vivid ocean scenery was simply magical.
Another favorite moment was admiring the beauty of Rainbow Falls, surrounded by majestic banyan trees and the graceful monkey pod trees. Every stop on the tour offered a new reason to fall in love with the Big Island.
A lovely part of the experience was the delicious local lunch, where we had the chance to taste traditional Hawaiian dishes like grilled Mahi Mahi and flavorful Kalua pig. To end the tour on a sweet note, Desmond and Anthony shared a refreshing selection of local fruits, including strawberry-papaya, apple-banana, and the classic, always-delicious Hawaiian pineapple.
Our family, including our two young kids, enjoyed every minute. The experience was seamless, educational, and full of wonder.
