Motorcycle tour in Ladahk, India with Motorbike Expeditions - My girlfriend and I had a great time touring Ladahk with motorbike expeditions. The roads were wild compared to what I am used to in the US. The scenery was gorgeous the entire time. Our guide Ejjwal was very organized and kept the group on schedule. He also tailored some of the routes to our preferences. The tour was supported via a back vehicle that could handle small repairs like a flat tire or fixing broken mirrors. The hotels were all very nice and the food was top notch - again, all handled by Motorbike Expeditions. The trip was well worth it.

Truly an adventure - Local team with local knowledge. This proved crucial during our trip due to landslides which which forced some reorganisation which simply made our trip more of an adventure. The trip was 'all in', literally (except alcohol which is better avoided at altitude). Food and accommodation seemed like they were the best locally available. Water was supplied in abundance (and necessary) tea breaks and all snack breaks in stunning locations. The team were our constant companions with help and advice were needed. May sound like we were a bunch of spoiled tourists (and we likely were) but there wasn't anything easy about this trip. I've done well over 1m miles on motorcycles and found the trip very challenging. Lots of very broken tar roads. Very tight twisting hairpins and very steep gradients and long days in the saddle, at ever increasing altitude. Very unpredictable road surfaces. This truly was an adventure. A fantastic experience. Tips. Wear decent gear Sharpen your riding skills (maybe a little off road practice) Do some altitude training (research) Enjoy. Thanks to ALL of the team for an outstanding experience 👏 Oy-lin an Tom Craig

On Top of the World - The Motorbike Expeditions Team provided an immaculately planned and suitably challenging route for exploring the high passes of the Himalayas in Norhern India, with superb accomodation, great food, brilliant mechanics and guides with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to adapt instantly to changes due to the unpredictable Himalayan conditions- well recommended. Was certainly a trip to remember.

Best Adventure ride in India - We had a 15 day adventure tour booked with Motorbike Expeditions and with the wettest August on record closing roads and causing landslides all over the proposed route the team quickly arranged another starting town and transported all bikes and gear having to travel through some current closed roads just to make a start on our Adventure. During the now 12 day adventure nothing was ever a problem and the entire team worked to make sure we achieved all our goals and made the trip a unforgettable one (Nitish our lead rider was always checking we were ok and we were pushing him along as we are experienced riders) Sam was on sweep and cameras and got some great shots over the trip Rajesh,Lucky,Rahul and Gyatso keep up in the support vehicle which surprised us on some days as the roads were covered in fallen rocks and debris . Can’t thank the entire team to much for such a life changing adventure and am looking forward to our next adventure together. Mark Knight

Just do it - you will regret if not - Just do it! Have you ever dreamed of an epic motorbike tour? Beyond the Timmelsjoch, the Stelvio Pass or the Transfagarasan? This 11-day Himalayan adventure in Ladakh with Motorbike Expeditions will take you to the world’s highest motorable passes – and much more. It will take your breath – both metaphorical as well as physical. The route is in part tarmac, and in part (sometimes bad) gravel. Thus, you should be able to ride a bike for several hours and should have been traveling on gravel roads before, but you don’t have to be an off-road expert. If you have this experience – just do it. If not, ask back with the organizers – there are also some groups with people with less experience. The fantastic team of this company will help you through all your challenges and support you whenever you need it in a very helpful, personal and friendly way. Thus – don’t think twice – do it! You’d regret letting this chance of a unique adventure pass. I don’t have to add many additional pictures of these epic landscapes and passes – there are sufficient on the net – see also the respective video footage of Motorbike Expeditions. We had it all – wonderful weather with sunshine and endless views as well as snowstorm – thus, be prepared for all weather conditions and all types of adventurous experiences. A few more words about the ride and the organization. Motorbike Expeditions arranges the transfer from Delhi to Bhuntar where you are welcomed by the organizers and receive your bike. Unlike other organizers, you may choose whether you stay with the 411 or you prefer the more advanced 450 (but I suggest the 411 because this bike is extremely robust although it only has about 27 PS, but this is sufficient – believe it or not….). On the first day you make an introductory ride and then you start off in your adventure. This is a journey for motorbikers that love to travel – you will not visit hundreds of monasteries, but you will enjoy hundreds of hairpin bends and thousands of breathtaking (in a double sense) viewpoints. The passes are organized in ascending altitude to avoid altitude problems. After visiting all of them and overcoming all other obstacles you will return to Leh, from where your flight will bring you back to Delhi. The tour is exceptionally well organized (but flooding etc. might change the tour plan). You are accompanied by experienced local guides that are familiar with the language (and English), the way to organize all the necessary permits (in advance), how to quickly pass all these checkpoints, and most importantly they care about you in a very personal, friendly and supportive way. You get advice on how to avoid altitude problems, you get support in driving your bike (and in case of emergency you could change into the backup vehicle and one of the guides or technicians will ride your bike), and the members of Motorbike Expeditions are around in the evening if anything is needed. Every evening the bikes are checked and prepared for the next day. Even your stay in Delhi, or tours to the Taj Mahal, can be arranged by the Motorbike Expeditions office. Having said so much, I simply would like to thank all the guys (organizers, tour guides, technicians, photographer and camera man for videos from Motorbike Expeditions for their support and this unforgettable adventure and experience. And to the reader I just suggest – just do it!

We have had a good ride ! - To reach the Khardung La pass it was my (our) aim since over 15 when the Khardung La was still highness road on the World .... We are group of Friends traveling by motorbikes since 20 years together on Europe. We have been on each edge of Europe from Nord Cup / Nord Rim to Krym, Grece, Sicilia, Gibraltar, Finister ... etc - but we never drove in Himalaya Mountains and we always wanted to drive up by motorbike as much is possible !!! And with our Friends from Motorbike Expedition we did it !! That was the best choice I ever made. Between 15 and 25 of August we have done an Expedition thru highest passes on the World. The trip was fantastic. I will not describe incredible Himalayan, they are amazing. The roads gave us experience we could not expect, landscapes are different we even seen before, terrain and country site new for us and surprising, that was really fantastic. Gents from Motorbike Expeditions look after whole logistic. Accommodation, food, time and road schedule and plan, technical support behind, drinking water, fruits and (what is most important) top level of friendly time and great happiest driving together as a Team. We have finished our trip safety. Special thanks for: Ujjwal and Rahul for being excellent guides and great riders. Ranta and Vijay for great photos they were doing, For Rohid for excellent technical bike support and maintenance (believe me these bikes had hard time) Lucky and Gurmet for carry on our stuff (how they drove and follows us on this car ... I have no idea ... but apparently they were just behind) And special thanks for Surya I contacted him over a year ago and he coordinated that event for us - Thank you! With best greetings from Poland. Piotr Kowalski and Friends - Khardung La Warriors 2025

Epic Ride in Himalayan with professional team - 11-day, 1700+ km motorcycle tour through the Indian Himalayas with Motorbike Expeditions, riding the world’s highest drivable road at 5883 meters was truly unforgettable! Our tour guides, Amit and Nitish, were outstanding — excellent riders, expert navigators, and incredibly knowledgeable locals. Thanks to them, I felt well and supported throughout the trip. Huge thanks to the whole team for handling all logistics, permits, accommodations, and more. This was a once-in-a-lifetime experience — highly recommended! The Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 was perfect in these roads and off.

“11 Days, 19,024 ft — A Ride We’ll Never Forget 🚵‍♂️🏔️” - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “11 Days to Umling La — 19,024 ft of Adventure!” When we booked this expedition, we honestly had no idea what we were getting ourselves into. After 20+ years as road riders, we thought we were prepared — turns out, the Himalayas had other plans! The off-road sections were tougher than expected, but the team’s patience and encouragement made all the difference. Amit, our tour captain, kept spirits high with his constant good humor. Nitish, an incredible rider and guide, seemed to float over the rough stuff while somehow dragging poor Hawk (our cameraman) along to capture jaw-dropping footage. Our support drivers and mechanic were absolute legends — the bikes were always ready to go, no matter what we threw at them. The itinerary was excellent — nine unforgettable days of riding through landscapes that will stay with us forever. The program was flexible too: sometimes you just have to roll with last-minute changes, and the team always made it work in our favor. From food and snacks to accommodations and transfers, everything was handled seamlessly. For us, this was truly a once-in-a-lifetime ride to the Himalayas. Couldn’t be happier with the service, the memories, and the laughs along the way. 👉 Pro tip: upgrade to the bigger bike — it makes the adventure even better!

Adventure of a lifetime! - Our 11-day trip to Umling La with Motorbike Expeditions was amazing! We have over 20 years of riding experience but this was our first time for adventure riding. The views were stunning and the ride challenging. Our guides, Amit and Nitish, took great care of us both during riding and down time. They faced several challenges due to road closures from weather, etc and made everything work out still. Be sure to go into this trip with flexibility as conditions are ever changing beyond their control and they will still make sure you have a great experience! Our whole team was amazing! Our mechanic took care of the bikes every day checking them over ensuring our safety, our drivers were always taking care of us at stops with snacks and drinks and our photographer, Hawk, gave us amazing photos and memories. An adventure of a lifetime that we'll never forget!
