Great tour, led by a very knowledgeable and compassionate guide - The tour guide, Ibrahim, did an excellent job at bringing to life the experiences of soldiers on both sides. He was an excellent storyteller, and created a detailed picture of the relevance of each site to the bigger picture of the war going on for both ANZACs and Turks. We took away a much deeper appreciation of the lives lost, the rough conditions experienced, the strategic and political mistakes made in the war, and the incredible humanity demonstrated by individual soldiers.

Simply Amazing - From start to finish this was the best experience. Josh our driver picked us up and was instantly kind, warming and humorous. The drive was long but nice as the air conditioner was pumping. The stop off half way there had the best Gözleme. When we got to Canakkale, we were greeted by the Crowded House Tour people who were absolutely fantastic. Their instructions were clear and we knew exactly what to do. We were taking to the lunch spot which was inclusive on our ticket. We had plenty of food and were ready to set off on our tour. It was here that it went from fantastic to simply brilliant. Burak our tour guide was simply amazing. He was hilarious, engaging and extremely knowledgeable. We tour the grounds of Gallipoli, stopping for information sessions, photos and just taking it all in. Burak answered all our questions and made the whole experience something to behold. We were driven home back to our hotel door which was also extremely kind. The whole experience was outstanding. I couldn’t recommend Crowded House Tours and Burak any higher!

Great tour of Gallipoli. - The guide was excellent on this tour. He had very good knowledge of what happened in 1915 and was able to provide information about both the Australia side and the Turkish side. It was very interesting hearing about both Australian participants and Turkish participants. I was not aware that Attaturk was at Gallipoli. Excellent experience. Thank you.

SO worth the drive from Istanbul! - We were in two minds about booking a tour from Istanbul as it’s 4 hours each way but it was SO worth it! We were picked up at 6:15am and returned back at our hotel at 9pm. Our driver to and from Istanbul was friendly and attentive throughout our journey. The stops on the way to and from the tour were perfectly timed. Our guide, Burak, throughout the tour of Gallipoli, was absolutely fantastic! His level of knowledge and passion was impressive and he was highly engaging. He also had a great sense of humour and enjoyed getting to know everyone throughout our tour. We learnt so much throughout the day and felt very emotional walking where the soldiers fought and lost their lives. I would highly recommend doing this day trip, even though it’s a long drive, it will definitely be a day to remember!

Highly recommend - It was a really good tour. Guide was very knowledgeable and made the tour really interesting with his wit. Personally, I was not impressed with the food and options available. However, you don’t sign up for this tour for the food but rather for the history. Just pack some snacks along and you would be fine.
