Well worth it - This tour was surely a busy one. Our guide was very friendly , helpful and knowledgeable. Although it was a long day, there was much to see and do. If you do this tour be prepared for a lot of walking. There are various breaks to rest. The mosques are amazing.

Weather Didn't Dampen a Five-Star Experience - Highest recommendation for Huseyin! We spent a very rainy day exploring the city, but his storytelling and warmth made us completely forget the weather. He is a remarkably kind and unassuming person who goes above and beyond to ensure you’re well-taken care of. He provided a perfect mix of history and practical 'insider' tips for eating and shopping. A 10/10 experience where time passed far too quickly!

Fantastic tour - Huseyin was a fantastic guide, not only showing me around the landmarks and hidden gems and teaching me the history of the city, but also giving me practical tips on how to best enjoy my time here and pointing out the best places to eat, shop for specific things, etc. Def recommend to anyone visiting.

Great story telling. Fun experience - Hussain was absolutely outstanding. I learned so many fascinating and unexpected pearls about Galata from him—things I would never have picked up on my own. His storytelling ability is exceptional; he doesn’t just share facts, he truly connects the dots, weaving geography, history, and lived context into a narrative that stays with you long after the tour ends.
He clearly has deep knowledge of the area and is a true history geek in the best possible way. What made the experience even more special was how he took us into hidden corners of Istiklal Street that I would never have discovered on my own. The thoughtfully timed break at a charming local tea spot was a lovely touch and added to the authenticity of the experience.
The tour ended at the magnificent Galata Tower, which felt like the perfect crescendo to a beautifully curated journey. My previous guide experience in the area was honestly not great, and Hussain filled in so many gaps—transforming my understanding of the place entirely.

Met as strangers, left as friends knowing Beyoğlu more intimately - My brother and I were visiting İstanbul for the first time and wanted historical knowledge from somebody who knew the city. This tour would be best for friendd, families with teen and older children, couples, and people who don't mind climbing hills and stairs. We met Can and due to the off season and poor weather it was effectively a private tour. Can is very knowledgeable, friendly, and personable host that created a welcoming and fun atmosphere and made an effort to build a personal connection while still making sure that we got important knowledge of the history of the areas of Beyoğlu that we toured through. We met as strangers and left as friends! The price is well worth the experience and time we spent on the trip. Absolutely worth it!

A hearty stroll through history - Huseyin was a very knowledgeable and friendly guide, taking us through the various periods of history relating to Karakoy, Pera and Beyoglu. His attention to detail was very obvious, taking us through quiet market passages and streets, whilst also helping with the needs of some of his guests along the way. Book the tour and enjoy a hearty stroll through history!
