Were totally satisfied! - We were able to do 2 tours for a discounted price (red and yellow tour). Total ± 4 hours They are available in many languages, including German. Was informative and everything worked out well. Mojde advised us well before and the drivers were very nice. Of course there were also small delays, but a bus also runs through traffic, you have to expect that.

Something Different on Every Route - The routes were varied and something different for us in each of them. Very much subject to LA traffic, so timings a little wild sometimes. My only criticism - we wanted to do the Downtown LA route on Sunday 8th, but were not informed until we arrived at the bus stop that the route was not running because of the Pride parade. If we'd been told earlier, we would have rearranged the order that we did them in and would have done the Downtownroute on a different day, and a different route on the Sunday. Otherwise, very well run and some entertaining drivers.

Not good employee service - To see around one sees well but I take either city sightseeing or big bus in every country and first time I had such driver. This woman was talking loud on the mobile, I was sitting inside and had difficulty listening to the audio, then she was talking to herself stopping the bus and checking a bag for her food, then she stepped down (!) closed the doors so if something happened no one would be able to come out and disappeared saying nothing for about 8min. During that time a family came down and couldn’t get out and sat in her seat waiting (!) they seem frustrated . I have never ever experienced something like this. She was also rude and didn’t even apologise when coming back or greet the customers when leaving

Route ok, equipment of buses in need of improvement - The bus arrived in Santa Monica for departure half an hour later than specified at the start. The buses are old and dirty. The three routes and the loudspeaker announcements are good. Price / performance ratio too expensive for the comfort on the bus!

Don’t waste your money - Travelled to US from Australia with a friend. Purchased the 3 day hop on/off bus tour I’ve done this tour twice before with same company. Don’t waste your time on downtown tour, nothing to see. Yes it ticks many boxes in regards to easy sight seeing (Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, etc) without having to hire a vehicle or expense of ride sharing. This company seems to have a hold on the bus touring market in LA. Standard of tour seems to be declining. Buses are DIRTY and unkept. Staff aren’t that friendly. One of the 3 days of tour the driver forgot to put the audio on for most of trip. Luckily I had already done the route I was on, other customers/passengers would’ve missed out on hearing important commentary. The operating times aren’t that long either. First bus leaves Hollywood Bvd at 10am. If you’re doing the route to Santa Monica you have to get off and swap buses at Beverley Hills and then only have a handful of hours to walk around and then catch the bus back as last bus collects you late afternoon. My friend and I waited for over an hour to catch a scheduled bus back and had to ring the company to ensure it was coming and were told one of the buses had broken down so we had to wait for the next one. 90mins all up… waste of our time and we could’ve walked around longer. I would NEVER go with this company again, there are other options out there. Don’t waste your money! You’ll be disappointed.

Save your miney - Not worth the money dirty and old and bus driver did rolling stops not announcing it was a stop . Save your money. Better off taking a uber or Waymo.

Save your money and don't use this service! - Date: 6/21/2025) Starline Tours "Los Angeles Hop-On, Hop-Off Tours" provided the worse service ever and you're better off taking Lift or Uber. First of all, the pickup times are not consistent. The bus was late to our initial pick up time (Beverly Hills Mall) and that should have told us something about the service. We paid the driver directly on the bus and driver stated, "we run every 45 minutes and can follow us on the app". We chose to get off at the farmer's market (second stop on red route after pick up) and never got back on the bus for the other stops. I called the customer service several times and they stated the bus was either late or we missed the time. NOT true, bus never came. We found out from customer service that there was an event and the roads were closed on the route; STOP selling tickets if you cannot provide the expected service. I asked for a refund and was provided an email to send my claim (nothing). I was also contacted to provide a review but chose the button to "click here" if I was going to rate the service less than favorable. Stated my claim again and have not received a response. So, this review is not regulated...save your money and use some other service like Lift/Uber. There were 3 of us traveling together at $57 a piece and one drop off. Horrible and a ripoff!! Shame on Starline tours!!!

Positive to understand Los Angeles - Problems 1 the stops are not marked so it is hard to find to improve the signs 2 buses always late 3 although I paid for 2 days of tour I could not make the 4 lines included 4 as I am always late when I took the very interesting purple line I could not take the red line bus to get back and so I had to use the metro!!! Positive 1 listen and learn all about Los Angeles 2 4 lines let you see all of Los Angeles 3 friendly drivers 4 support in friendly chat but that obviously does not solve 5 the price that allows you to see and understand all of Los Angeles In other cities I always found it great in Los Angeles less but I would do it again to understand and learn to orient myself in Los Angeles Later I did other tours much more expensive but always I would say to improve
