Betty’s Bay - From Cape Town our first stop is at Betty’s Bay. Here we see the African Penguins. Betty’s Bay is a small coastal town located in the Western Cape province of South Africa. It is home to a colony of African Penguins, also known as Jackass Penguins, which are the only penguin species found on the African continent.
Betty’s Bay is also known as Stony Point Penguin Colony. There is a huge population of the African Penguin. The penguins can be seen up close as they waddle around, swim in the nearby ocean, and nest in the shelter of the surrounding vegetation.
