Great hike and outting from Bilbao - Even though it was a drizzly day, we had a great time hiking this spectacular work of nature and man and visiting Bermeo. Zach, our guide, was very informative and shared information about the area(s) and the Basque culture. He communicated in advance and picked us up at our hotel right on schedule. We very much enjoyed spending the day in his company as well as seeing Gaztulagatxce and Bermeo. Highly recommend this trip for anyone wishing to see more of Basque country and coast.

Brilliant tour - Our guide was brilliant, so knowledgeable and passionate about the area and a proud Basque.
We were picked up from our hotel, which made the trip very easy for us too.
After the hike we were taken to a lovely fishing village where we were served the most amazing Pintxos.
My only regret is that we didn't book this tour earlier in our stay as we gained so much information about the area and culture and it gave us more confidence to explore more and try new things.

A beautiful gift! - The best morning and lunch ever! The hike was fabulous but the real gift was spending time with Irene and learning about the Basque, their traditions, passions and what it means to be Basque!! Thank you for your positive energy and enthusiasm.

A great day out - We spent the day with Irene touring the coast north of Bilbao. We had a great morning capped off with some pintxo and wine in a cute little fishing village. Touring with a local like Irene makes all the difference when you really want to understand the local way of life. I absolutely recommend to others.

Great hike - Must do! - We had such a great experience with our tour guide Zach! From the get go he was amazing with us, collecting us from our hotel and filling us in on so much of the history and culture of bilbao as well as every town we passed through on the way to the hike. The hike itself was spectacular! He chose the perfect time to bring us and had so much knowledge on the history of the monestary. He also brought us to a great spot for pintxo in bermeo and let us explore the hidden gem that was the fishing town. Overall it was a great day out and I would recommend it to anyone!

Beautiful and informative - Booked a last minute trip to Bilbao & San Sebastián with my husband and fortunately we were accommodated despite nothing being available for at least a month on TripAdvisor! The views were amazing and the pintxos/wine in Bermeo were some of our favorites. Irene was an exceptional guide teaching us about Basque history/culture, answering all our questions, and even giving us recs for San Sebastián. Highly recommend!

A Wonderful Experience! - My husband and I spent 3 days with Zach including the hike to San Juan de Gaztelugatxe as well as one day visiting the beautiful towns between Bilbao and San Sebastian and another day visiting the towns between San Sebastian and Biarritz. Zach put together wonderful itineraries for us that included tons of history, great land and seascapes and marvelous lunch spots with delicious local food and wine. He is very knowledgeable about the Basque Country and a joy to be with! You get so much more being with a guide that knows the area than you every would on your own. We would highly recommend any tour with Zach.
