A brilliant & interactive museum - We caught an Uber over to this museum and so glad we did. It was interactive set up with lots of items to see and films. It is up a set of stairs on the second floor of a restaurant building and best to use google maps to find the entrance. There is a long stretch of wall to see also and it’s all very thought provoking. The price is also reasonable compared to other museums in Berlin and the members of staff was so incredibly friendly, helpful and smiley. Would definitely recommend you visit.

Interactively and multimedialy tell the story of the Berlin Wall - Located right next to the Oberbaumbrücke, The Wall Museum tells the story of the Berlin Wall in an interactive and multimedia way: from its construction in 1961, through escape attempts, until 1989, the year of its fall. Among the most touching finds are the original videos of the protests, personal belongings of the fugitives and a reconstruction of the daily atmosphere of those who lived in the shadow of the Wall. It is one of the few museums where you can hear first-hand accounts of the protagonists of that era.

Great little gem! Worth a visit.. - What a great little museum! Learned so much more about the history and politics behind the Berlin divide. The information is shared using videos and media clips along with information boards. To get the most of the visit you MUST take the time to read and watch. We saw people dashing room to room who didn't stop to read anything! All in all we spent 1½ hours here, and it was time very well spent. Highly recommend!

Worth seeking out, very interesting and well thought through museum. - Great museum which is inside the “Pirates” building with no outside signage. Very effective walk through the history of the wall and East Germany. Nicely done and much better than the DDR museum. One of the better attractions.

Recommended - Many listening stations, unfortunately some did not work. The films were very informative. Good thing the museum is right next door to the East Side Gallery.

Not worth it - Not much of a museum, it has a lot of photographs which can be accessed for free, with no stunning take or information that makes it a worthwhile experience. It was not so terrible for me to put a tourist rip-off review, but not so good to be worth it. You miss nothing by skipping it.

Worth a visit, very informative - Lovely staff and very informative, I’m glad I went and it is well worth a visit it just wasn’t very “wow”. The museum was initially a little bit confusing to locate, however, it is sharing a building with a pirate themed venue so don’t be put off if you see pirate themed signage! There were two flights of stairs up to the museum but once inside it was all one level. The information videos and text were all written/spoken in both German and English. There were screens with video clips as well as some rooms with videos being projected. There was a lot to read and listen to, all very poignant and interesting, but I’m grateful I went when it was quiet as if it was busy this could get difficult. Some screens/parts of projections were out of order when I visited with signs saying they would be fixed soon. This didn’t affect the experience just worth noting. Staff were very welcoming and helpful, there were toilet facilities and a small gift shop at the end. Definitely worth a visit, and do-able in an hour or less.

Not worth it. - Not worth the time or the money. Everything in the museum you can find elsewhere without pay. a true tourist ripoff. The DDR museum is worth it even though small.
