you need 2-days to see berlin at your own pace - you need 2-days to see Berlin at your own pace. we stayed at the NH hotel Berlin in city center. we walked to the check point charlie like 15min south from the hotel. then the gate is like 20 min north from the hotel. near are the old Hitler's bunkers, ministries and other locations. they are only marked with a sign. walking from the museum to old town, we found the brass plates in the front of houses, marking the locations of families with names and the locations that were sent during the Holocaust. There is a street that has all the building phased covered. *Note: Berlin is not the only place to see those markers, you can find them in other towns and they are all heart breaking.

Informative and timely - Irish Paul was a really informative tour guide that provided a lot of context to the group to accomodate to the different levels of understanding. Paul answered all the questions that came from the group and was very knowledgeable. The only critique I have would be for the site itself where there were areas in which the writing had faded from the displays or there were not English translations for displays so I could not read them.

To understand and never forget - A visit to a concentration camp cannot be just any visit. It doesn't matter so much what happened where, but you have to try to understand how all this was possible. Putting yourself in the shoes not only of the victims, but also of the perpetrators or those who have allowed this horror to take place. Lorenzo, of GuideinTour, showing an extraordinary competence and sensitivity, did all this. I believe that for visiting certain places it is necessary to make use of people of Lorenzo's thickness, and relying on GuideinTour is absolutely a guarantee.

Well done and wonderful guide! - The tour was very well presented and done. Our guide Maria was fantastic and showed reverence for the site and what had happened there. She also was a wealth of knowledge on German history and gave a fantastic speaking tour of the architecture and history of Berlin as we drove to and from the site.

A must see when in Berlin - Maria was the most phenomenal guide. She boiled down the history of Germany to 30 minutes but made it interesting. That was just the ride to the camp! Once at the camp she again Brought the history alive with the way she told the story! I’ve been to other concentration camps (Dachau and Auschwitz) but the story here is very different. Highly recommend this tour and hope you get Maria!!
