Easy and entertaining - This small museum is easy and entertaining. Makes an interesting one-hour visit. Even the teenagers enjoyed! Went in the morning, no queues no rush

Good guide - Alba was a good guide. She knew a lot. She was positive; despite a lot of rain his gave us a nice afternoon bike ride.

It's life Jim, but not as we knew it - Wonderful insight into life in the former Communist state. Typical flat - as all looked identical. The limited entertainment and kitchen gadgets. Lots of cupboards to open and explore life then - including how you'd look in their clothes. Interactive. Sad to know about the wall which was to keep the West OUT!! ( that's the people were told!). You can even experience a ride in a Trabant!

Good 'museum' - Nice and modern museum, with good media tools and methods. You get EN good idea about the DDR project. There is less focus on the movement, and the Soviet involvement, but now the4 is also a popular scientific production

Fab museum but over crowded - An absolutely dreadful wet day today so headed here for an indoor activity. Visit slightly marred by the grumpy and rude till staff who felt it necessary to shout at the visitors who were simply trying to shelter from the torrential rain whilst queuing. Once past the shock of this behaviour, we thoroughly enjoyed the museum and it is very interactive and interesting. However, extremely crowded and numbers should have been limited. There is a fabulous Bosnian staff member on the till in the gift shop - he’s a credit to the place and other staff should take a leaf out of his book!

Good Interactive Museum - A good interactive museum with lots to see and read. Interesting to see the set-up of a typical East Berlin apartment during GDR/SED rule. We visited on an exceptionally warm day and the heat inside the museum was unbearable meaning we had to cut the visit a little short. The air-con system here was practically non-existent. Definitely worth a visit if you like history and are interested in the subject around Berlin Wall/Cold War etc.

Good way to get an insight into life in the DDR but go on a cool day - The rooms decorated in the same as way as typical 1970s homes would have been are really interesting and there are plenty of interactive activities. The rest of the exhibition was also interesting but involved a lot of reading. Overall it was a great insight into life in East Berlin. I wouldn't go on a hot day as there is no air con and it was VERY warm inside.

Not worth the visit imo. - While maybe interesting for some people, I personally did not find it worth 5 euros much less the 13.50 a piece we paid, I would much rather spend that amount on a good museum or even the Dome Cathedral that’s only a few steps away.

Awful - Overcrowded, uninspired, dull. Admission should not be anything other than free so that you can realise your mistake and get out.

Busy and cramped - Making the mistake of going today a Thursday at 1pm luckily purchased on line ticket. I had high hopes for the education today but fell way below expectations due to 3 separate kids groups of 15-20, over crowded with very rude people and at times pushing to get through. From what I did manage to see, read, and actually touched was very educational. Makes me more excited to live in a free country. Good for kids maybe not for people with wheelchairs even though they have a machine that gives you access to the next floor.
