- Kaufhaus des Westens (KaDeWe) - Another notable Berlin landmark featured in Bowie’s tribute to Berlin, “Where Are We Now?”. Bowie used to shop for groceries at this historic department store.
- Bahnhof Zoologischer Garten - The infamous Christiane F. was a devoted David Bowie fan. She and her friends often spent time at Zoo Station, which was quite a rundown place back then. Times have changed! In the film adaptation of her book, Bowie’s music is prominently featured as he allowed the use of his songs for the soundtrack.
- Hansa Studios - This is where Bowie recorded much of his “Berlin Trilogy”. It’s a great opportunity to capture photos of this legendary studio and enjoy the fantastic GIF animation of him in one of their windows!
- Hauptstraße 155 - Bowie’s former residence! Take a moment to admire the building where Bowie lived for nearly three years between 1976 and 1978. Fans often leave flowers or candles on a ledge of this historic building, as if the architect foresaw that a famous musician would reside here, allowing admirers to pay their respects.
- Neues Ufer - “Neues Ufer,” previously known as “Anderes Ufer,” is a local gay bar where Bowie frequently visited, often for a nightcap, as it was open 24/7. Enjoying a drink here is optional, and many visitors choose to do so after the tour.
