Super tour of Berlin with excellent accompaniment - The guide Marcel was very well prepared, he could answer all questions, was friendly, nice and funny at all times. A great tour (in English and not as booked in German, but that was still mega good).

A Great Overview of 20th Century Berlin - My wife and I took the tour, with Marcel as our guide. As a walking tour guide myself, I was very satisfied with the experience. The starting point was very easy to find, and Marcel was friendly and engaging, making everyone in our group feel welcome. We also appreciated hearing his backstory and connection to Berlin. Throughout the tour he managed the group well, spoke clearly and at a good speed, and it's clear he cares about and enjoys his job. He took questions very well and was always happy to chat. The tour itself was paced well, with stops that weren't too long or too short, and even included a café break of 10-15 minutes towards the end. While the break certainly didn't negatively affect the experience, I do feel that in such a fascinating city the time taken up by the break could have been used instead for another interesting stop and nobody would have minded. In terms of the content of the tour, I already knew that it would be impossible to fit all of Berlin's history into 2hrs. However, I do feel that perhaps a little more could have been mentioned about Berlin's pre-20th century history (that goes back originally to the 13th century). Of course I realise that there is very little left of any buildings from pre-1900s Berlin, but perhaps an introduction to the tour could be added that at least summarises the ~700 years before WWII, just to give the tour more context for those who know very little. As it was, aside from the first stop that covered the Brandenburg Gate, the tour was exclusively focused on the 1930s-1980s period. I do understand this is what most tourists are going to be most interested in, so this isn't a complaint at all, rather a suggestion, or maybe the tour could be retitled ("20th Century Berlin"). Like the tours that I give in my home city, this tour is not literally "free" but rather donation-based, so please be ready to tip the guide whatever you feel the tour was worth, as this is the only way guides like us make any money at all. €10 per person should be considered the absolute minimum tip for a good 2hr walking tour, and we happily tipped Marcel double this. Thanks for a great tour, keep up the good work, and maybe I'll see you on one of my tours someday...!

Great Walking Tour to Orientate Yourself to Central Berlin - This was an excellent walking tour, very informative and well paced, with a welcome coffee break. Our guide, Nir, was very knowledgeable and obviously enjoyed discussing his city. It was an excellent way to orientate ourselves to central Berlin and to learn more about this fabulous capital, and it's free - we paid only for tips for our guide, which we were very happy to pay as they were well earned. Highly recommended.

Excellent all age tour - Stevie gave us a fantastic tour. She pitched it well at our mixed party of adults teens and a tween. Her historical knowledge added so much extra to the main sites and we couldn't recommend more highly. The method of a small registration fee and then tipping the guide works well - just make sure you have enough cash with you.
