Beautiful sightseeing day in the fjords! - This was a great tour, complete with beautiful fjord tour! I would note - that the return trip is three hours by bus, so just be prepared. However, our guide, Thomas was excellent, very kind and informative.

Great trip and Guide! - We left on time and had a knowledgeable guide who gave enough information throughout the trip without over-giving! We had enough time allocated for each stop to enjoy the stunning views and take photos as well as get food and use toilets. The whole trip was perfectly timed! We did spend quite a long time (proportionally) on the bus in order to take in all the local Hardangerfjiord sights. I would highly recommend this trip. Stunning scenery!

Great tour with small bus and lots of photo opportunities - A must to do when you are in Bergen! I went with 2 friends on this tour on Monday 9th June. We had Tomas as our driver. He originally is from Germany, but has been living near Bergen for many years now. He has great local knowledge, also about the history of Norway. He was very entertaining on the way and pointed out beautiful views. Oh and I have to mention the lunch! This was in Norheimsund in a nice boutique hotel in a room with great water views. We could choose what we wanted from a set menu, but there were great options to choose from! Each stop had the opportunity to take pictures. We had stops at waterfalls, lunch, ferry crossings. It was a full day from 09.30 till 18.00. Fjordrive is the company to use if you want to have a great tour of the fjords! Small bus (20 persons) with a great driver, no matter which tour you take. Highly recommanded!!

Don’t miss this! Our favorite Norwegian tour! - We traveled Scotland, Denmark and Norway. We did tours almost every single day of our three week trip. This Norwegian tour was by far the very favorite of all of our excursions! When we were done, we felt like we had experienced the very best that Norway had to offer. Our driver/guide was excellent. very informative and answered all our questions. He was fun and funny and made the trip even better. We have traveled pretty much all around the world, but this will always be one of our very top memories.

A photo-friendly experience in comfort and style! - This is a great tour, filled with amazing waterfalls and Norwegian hospitality! Tomas, our driver and tour guide was very knowledgable about the area. He has a lot of live for the area as he is a resident, so his tour was also filled with pride. He had a lot of great facts about Norway as well, so it was educational on top of being fun and oh so beautiful! The optional lunch at Sandvel was absolutely amazing with great views in an old quintessentially Norwegian hotel! There I enjoyed the fish soup and it was the best I have had in my travels of Norway. I highly recommend this tour as you get a bit of everything: fjords, waterfalls, food, history all with authentic Norwegian flair.

Learned so much from Thomas - Thomas has talked his way through the history, architecture, customs, crops, and even income and taxes of Norway and Bergen, and feels that it has really benefited to choose him as a guide. He came to Norway from Germany twenty years ago and also used to go to Spain in the winter, speaking very, very good English and a few words of Chinese. So it's a great choice for people who want to learn more through a day of travel. It is highly recommended.

A driving tour - The scenery around this fjord is gorgeous, and so this tour is a good way to get out of town and see some of it. Our guide Thomas told entertaining and informative stories and was an excellent driver. The minibus was comfortable, though viewing was limited by the heavily tinted windows. My reservation about the tour is that the itinerary is just too long for the time allowed. Our group of 17 kept faithfully to the times allowed at our few stops (we ‘passed by’ rather than stopped at most locations in the published itinerary), yet we were still pressed for time. In the end we only stopped at one waterfall, the admittedly superb Steindalsfossen. There were no ‘bonus’ photo stops along the way. The two ferry crossings are car ferries across not especially scenic parts of the fjord, so don’t expect much from those. Our time with feet on ground totalled about 1.5 hours out of an 8 hour trip, which wasn’t enough for me. I realise that Hardangerfjord is a big fjord a fair distance from Bergen so I don’t regret the day, but I also don’t feel I really experienced the fjord in any authentic way. Maybe just seeing all three waterfalls in a half day would have been enough. But thanks and props to Thomas for all that skilled driving through hairpin bends with a smile on his face.
