Conveniently located off the main road, Mørkhølsfossen provides a peaceful retreat with its gentle cascades and tranquil surroundings.

Fossen Bratte - Fossen Bratte translates to “steep waterfall,” and it lives up to its name: The Eikedalselva River plunges down in a single drop of 79 meters. We will make a brief photo stop at this waterfall and then drive a few hundred meters along the old road to experience what driving on Norwegian roads was like in the past.

Steinsdalsfossen - The Steinsdalsfossen waterfall near Norheimsund is truly spectacular. Visitors can walk behind it without getting wet. Formed in 1699 when the river changed course, Steinsdalsfossen stands approximately 50 meters tall. A path allows you to walk between the rock face and the water without getting wet, making it one of Norway’s most visited waterfalls. Tourist information and public restrooms are located directly at the parking area. A short path over an old stone arch bridge leads to the waterfall. If desired, you can visit a cozy café behind the bridge and enjoy the sound of the stream. We will stay for just under 30 minutes, and the drive to our next stop in Norheimsund is about 10 minutes.

Norheimsund - Discover the charming town of Norheimsund, beautifully situated on the Hardangerfjord. Enjoy the scenic views and delightful atmosphere. Norheimsund offers several restaurants and a small shopping center with a bistro. We will stay for about 45 minutes, providing ample time for a short lunch break. The driver will indicate where the bus will depart later.

Kvanndal - After a 40-minute drive along the Hardangerfjord, we arrive at the ferry in Kvandal. The ferry departs at 2 p.m., and the crossing takes only 20 minutes. Bathrooms and a small kiosk are available on the ferry. From the upper deck, you can capture wonderful photos. It is a delightful experience.

Utne - The ferry docks in Utne, a picturesque wonderland on the Hardangerfjord. With its well-preserved streets and traditional wooden houses, Utne offers a rare glimpse into a bygone era. Enjoy the spectacular fjord views, admire the 300-year-old Utne Hotel, and soak in the peaceful ambiance of this secluded gem.

Hardanger Fjord - The drive from Utne to Jondal is a scenic journey along the Hardangerfjord on road 550. The distance between the towns is about 36 km, and the drive takes around 35 minutes. Along the way, enjoy the beautiful scenery and admire the region’s characteristic orchards. This trip is highly recommended for those wishing to explore Norway’s stunning nature. We will make photo stops as often as weather and time allow.

Herand - We pause in the village of Herand, stopping at a small marina beautifully located on the Hardanger Fjord. There is a self-service kiosk and public restrooms available. The journey to the ferry quay in Jondal is only 15 minutes.

Jondal - The ferry from Jondal to Tørvikbygd departs precisely at 15:20. We cross the main arm of the Hardangerfjord here. Bathrooms and a self-service café are available on the ferry. You can also visit the upper car deck to take photos. The landscape is breathtaking. The crossing takes about 20 minutes.

Tørvikbygd - At 15:40, the ferry arrives in Tørvikbygd. From here, we head directly to Bergen.

Bergen - The return drive to Bergen takes approximately an hour and a half, with arrival at your hotel in Bergen shortly after 5 p.m.
