• Bergenhus Fortress - Embark on a delightful short round-trip by car to the stunning Osterfjord area.

A professional driver-guide will pick up guests from their hotel in Bergen city center (or cruise ship port) to commence the tour. Departure is typically at 9:00 am unless otherwise arranged.

As we leave Bergen, we pass by several attractions, including the Medieval Bergenhus Fortress.

• Dale of Norway Factory Outlet & Museum - Returning to the mainland, the journey continues to Dale, home to the renowned “Dale of Norway” sweater factory. Visitors can explore the factory outlet and perhaps purchase some woolen souvenirs.
• Skipshelleren - From Dale, the tour takes a lesser-known road heading north, featuring steep mountains, narrow fjords, and secluded villages.

The next stop is at the Stone Age settlement on the Bolstadfjord, requiring a short walk on a moderately steep trail.

• Mo - The journey proceeds to Mo (pronounced “Moo”), a charming village nestled between two waterfalls: Geitaskaret and Kvernhusfossen. Here, guests can enjoy lunch at a quaint restaurant/café with views of the Mofjord and Geitaskaret waterfall.
• Mostraumen - The final stop on this tour is the Mostraumen strait, a 600-meter-long, very narrow channel connecting two fjords. During the tide, there is a strong current, offering a breathtaking view regardless of the tide.
• Osterfjorden - On the return to Bergen, the ride continues along the Osterfjord, now to the west of Osterøy island. (Typically, there is no stop here.)
• Nordhordlandsbrua - Before returning to Bergen, the tour crosses the fjord on Norway’s second-longest bridge, the Nordhordlandsbrua, which is part floating and part suspension bridge. (Typically, there is no stop here.)

In a comfortable car or minivan, with a driver-guide, you will travel to the secluded areas around the island of Osterøy and the surrounding Osterfjord. On this tour, you will see narrow fjords, gorgeous waterfalls, and experience the stunning natural beauty of the region. The driver-guide provides interesting commentary on the sights and general information about Norway. The car and driver-guide will be with you throughout the entire tour, which concludes in the center of Bergen.

The vehicle for this tour is one of our Mercedes minivans. For groups of 1-3 people, we may use our Tesla Model X. All of our cars have a Passenger Transport Licence.
