We will take the funicular to Mount Floyen where we will enjoy the view of the city from above.

We will walk to the skomarketdiken lake where we will begin to enter the mountains to find cabins in unexpected places where we will stop to have a snack with incredible views of the city and parks built in an artisanal way because carpentry in Norway is an art that We will corroborate for ourselves.

We will learn about how different life was in these mountains at the beginning of the 20th century and the harsh conditions that its inhabitants faced in previous centuries, we will understand how all these customs and traditions have influenced Norwegian cultural customs today .

Afterwards we will begin to immerse ourselves in the dense forests of tall pines of the Bergen mountains walking along old transport and trade routes from the Viking era.

You will see the city like never before from different perspectives
- What to bring: Bring a small backpack with your own packed lunch, water, warm/waterproof clothing depending on the weather, sunglasses, and good walking shoes. Our guide will make sure you get safely to the top and back to the center of Bergen and will tell you as much as possible about the area and the culture.

Bergen Hike with a little rain… - We met Hector on what has got to be one of the most blustery of summer days in Bergen. We were a bit leery, but we decided to go for it and head off road I to the forest for a long hike. It was tricky at points, but well worth the effort. Hector kept a close eye on us and kept us motivated. We ended up getting to see fairytale scenery, and pick wonderful blueberries and mushrooms, which we used for our dinner that night. We missed some of the stunning views, but we felt like we gained a real Bergen experience in exchange. Thank you to Hector for his patience and an excellent time!

Flexible and Accommodating - Sylvia was so flexible to meet us at our hotel and walk us to the funicular to Mt. Fløyen. She was also understanding and accommodating for our family that were dealing with colds and needed to take breaks often and not do anything too intense. Since we had time leftover, she walked us to Bryggen and told us history of that neighborhood as well as food recommendations!

Amazing experience! - Hector our guide was amazing! We had a truly unique hike! Gorgeous hike and lots of fun. The snack was yummy and we even went for a quick swim! It was very refreshing! We learned a lot about Bergen and trolls.

Great way to see Bergen with a fabulous guide - This is the best tour we’ve been on for a long time.
Our guide Hector was marvellous and shared his great appreciation and respect for nature with us. He knew when to talk and when to enable us to enjoy the serenity, which is a skill many guides do not have. Hector always took care of our comfort, and explained many things about the plants, environment and pastimes to enjoy in this incredible place.
I would recommended this tour most highly, it’s a lovely way to experience the city and the Norwegian outdoor culture.

Silvia is the best. - The guide and the tour were both great. Sylvia was very personable and very knowledgeable on Bergen and the surrounding areas. If I visit Bergen again, I would definitely use her services again.

Magnificent - Coming from the USA mountain hike means something completely different in Norway!!. It’s not a nicely marked trail that you meander up. It’s an hike!! Alex was fantastic at evaluating our fitness level and choosing the right path for us. The views are spectacular and well worth the effort. We both pushed ourselves and had the best feeling of accomplishment at the end! Totally enjoyed the morning and having Alex as our guide. What a wonderful, personable young man. Mama must be proud!!!

Informative and fun walk. Recommended!!! - Great experience! Sylvia provided an informative talk about Bergen and Norway as we walked from the port to the Funicular. Fun ride up and then a nice walk around the area at the top of the funicular before heading down. Pointed out several other things to see within walking distance.
