Highlight of our trip - We actually did this hiking tour in June 2022, and I neglected to write a review. But we often talk about it as the highlight of our trip! Our family of 4 (two boys, ages 16 and 11 at the time) thoroughly enjoyed the scenery, as well as the history told like a story the entire way up. Highly recommend this option if you're planning to visit Eagle's Nest.

Fantastic day of hiking! - We went on this tour not knowing what to expect and we were totally surprise, it was really amazing! Claudio knowledge of the Eagle nest area and history is quit fascinating. Communication is easy, his english is good. Sadly due to snowfall earlier in the week, the Eagle nest access was closed. Claudio organised a trail around the mountain and it was a wonderfall experience. We really recommend this hike, Claudio is a great guide. Josee and Lou from Canada

Must do experience - If you are visiting the eagles nest and up for the challenge, hiking is definitely the way to go. The tour guide is very knowledgeable and great to talk with, no language barrier at all as an English speaking visitor. The views from the hike are spectacular. You also get some bonus historical stops off the main path that you wouldn’t get otherwise. Both my wife and I agree this was the highlight of our 2 week trip. Worth every penny!

Great hike with very knowledgeable guide! - This was a wonderful hiking tour! Claudio was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. During the walk/hike up to Eagle's Nest Claudio relayed much of the history of the area and WWII and pointed out sites you don't see on the bus ride up. He was very well-versed in the history of the area and a fantastic guide. We very much enjoyed the tour and highly recommend Claudio!

AMAZING Experience!! - This tour was simply amazing! We highly recommend it. Our incredible guide, Pauline, was so very knowledgeable; she told us so much information. The hike, while moderately strenuous, was very doable. After the bus ride back down the hill, we continued walking to the historical areas near the museum. This was so much better than just taking a bus up to the top! Don’t miss this opportunity!!!

Excellent Day - Claudio was entertaining, knowledgeble, and prepared. We had a great time. The walk is over decent quality paths. There is significant elevation gain. Typical incline was around 7 degrees - sometimes a bit more, sometimes less. Walk was almost exactly 4 miles and took us a bit over 2 hours. We are fit but casual hikers. Youndon't hike all the waynto the Eagles Nest, instead younultimately arrive at a tunnel whichnleqds to an elecator that takes you to the Nest, from which the views are spectacular. We took the bus back down at about 25 euros each, rather than walk back down. A most pleasant way to spend the day.

Truly unique and a highlight of our trip! - Incredible tour! We learned so much from Claudio. The hike was challenging at times but highly rewarding. Claudio adjusted the speed and took breaks often (mainly for me in our group) but was highly encouraging and kind enough to say we made “great time” when we reached the elevators. I cannot imagine seeing Kehlstein or Eagle’s Nest any other way- you miss so much if you don’t hike the area with Claudio as your guide. He is incredibly knowledgeable, explaining not only what happened and when, but helping you understand some of the why and how things happened the way they did. Even a WWII history buff will learn so much from Claudio and experiencing the Site through hiking. If we’re able to make it back we would absolutely book this tour again- I’m confident we’d learn more from Claudio.
