Wine, Raki & Albanian Joy in Berat with the Professor - We had a fantastic winery tour in Berat, Albania! Our guide, the professor, was incredibly attentive and clearly passionate about what he does. He brought so much positive energy to the experience, making the visit both fun and informative. You could tell he genuinely enjoys his work—he explained everything with great detail and enthusiasm. We ended the tour all engaged with each other, dancing to Albanian songs and enjoying plenty of raki and wine. It was such a warm, joyful, and unforgettable experience. Highly recommended if you’re looking for something authentic and full of life in the region!

Amazing little wine tour - We had an amazing tour of the Pupa Winery with our local guide ‘the professor’. First we visited the vineyard and got to see, taste and learn about the autochthonous grapes and grape vines itself. After the little hike we were able to taste 3 types of wines and had some albanian tapas to share- yum! The Raki at the end rounded things up! And of course.. it didn’t end with only one 😉

Amazing Wine, Food and People - a must! - We decided to join this tour on a whim and it turned out to be one of the best choices we made! It was a fantastic way to explore the vineyards in the outskirts of Berat while learning and tasting the amazing albanian wine and food. The Raki was great and made the whole table "happy". Special shoutout to the Professor, a highlight of the tour, incredibly knowledgeable, hilarious, and the life of the party from start to finish!

Excellent wine tour! - Great wine tour (and I've been on a lot). We learned a lot about wine in Albania and got to try 3 amazing varieties at the beautiful winery. The Professor made the trip a lot of fun - we did some Albanian dancing and drank a lot of raki! Definitely recommend this trip. The only notes are to bring water - you'll get plenty at the winery, but there's a walk through the vineyard first. And I would've liked a bit more food at the winery - we drank so much raki we needed a bit more!

Nice wine and wonderful views - Had a great time with a wonderful group of people. The professor kept the shots of raki going, so make sure to eat in advance ;)

For those who fancy a fun evening and want to get to know new people on a trip - The explanation was given in a rather boring way during the tour of the plantation itself. It was especially doable to find the right 'spot' for Instagram photos. Thought this was a shame. In the wine estate itself it was pleasant to stay, the wines were very tasty. The raki tasting culminated in consuming 4 shots, whether well-filled or not. Good for the atmosphere, but given the limited number of refreshments, a challenge for the stomach. The wine tasting started at 5.30pm but it was almost 10pm before we got back. Stomach pain at night and a lot of thirst as a result. Fun night, though, and getting to know cool people. So definitely do, but try to eat something beforehand.
