A lovely way to start the day - We had a lovely trip down the Bentota river and into a narrow creek with mangroves all around us. Our guide, Ali, who had been with the company 13 years, knew exactly where to point out all the wildlife – water monitors, crocodiles, monkeys, chameleons, frogs, bats and even a beautiful kingfisher. Our trip started at 7 am. An early start is recommended both because the animals are more active and so that there are only one or two other boats on the water with you – later in the day it gets more crowded. It is hard to fault anything about this trip. Our only slight concern was that we were not made aware of any lifejackets on board, although we felt completely safe at all times as our guide was a very good boat handler and the river was very placid.

Best experience! - I saw several companies offers when I was looking for a Bentota safari tour. This company had the most organized offer. They responded quickly to my WhatsApp message, explained everything, chose a time according to my wishes, and assigned us the best guide. Coca was our guide on this tour and did his best to make sure we saw everything well. During the tour, we saw 4 crocodiles, played with monkeys, saw big lizards, flying dogs and many other animals and birds. He is a very nice guy and if you are lucky and meet Coca, you will definitely not regret it. Also, a big thank to the tuk-tuk driver Siran, who picked us up from the hotel and brought us back. He also stopped at a shop on the way at our request and was very friendly. Thank you very much!

Go early, it's getting up for! - We were picked up at 6am and went by tuktuk to a motorboat for our safari. The whole trip was spectacular - sunrise on the water and amazing images of the waterside temple. We saw a huge range of wonderful birds, monkeys, flying foxes and crocodiles all virtually to ourselves as most people do the trip starting after 9am. Our guide was really great and spotted loads of wildlife, lots of it very hard to see initially like chameleons and beautiful green snakes in the trees. He was really knowledgeable and gave us lots of time with each sighting. He respected the wildlife, switched the engine off and let us just be alongside in the quiet so we got an amazing experierience without upsetting anyone. I so recommend this wonderful tour company and fabulous experience. Take binoculars if you can.

A great experience, Coca was a great guide. - The guide (Coca) made the trip, he was simply excellent, polite knowledgeable and excelled in customer service. His eyesight is 20:20 spotting wildlife that was not visible to us. We were over two hours and saw pretty much everything possible, Monitor lizards, monkeys that we fed with fruit, tree frogs, crocodiles, bats , eagles and herons…

Awesome! - Coco was a great guide and boat driver! We saw many baby crocodiles and 2 large ones! Lots of monkey, lizards, snakes & birds! Very informative and fun! We even got to drink coconuts on the boat! Thanks for an awesome time!

Brilliant trip - We had a fantastic time, our skipper/guide was both lovely, knowledgeable and spotted many animals and birds we would have missed! Going through the mangroves was magical. Whole trip was both educational and relaxing. Next time we are in Bentota we would definitely book again with this company 5* experience

A terrific experience - Had a wonderful two plus hours on the river, with a terrific guide, Hareen (hope I've spelt it correctly) who was so knowledgeable about the wildlife we spotted. A most enjoyable and informative trip.

Nice way to spend a couple of hours - Very enjoyable, nice to chug up the river and in amongst the mangroves. The guide was excellent at finding small, well-hidden creatures...chameleons were an amazing find. Nice people, very helpful. Give them a go
