• Belsh - The captivating journey begins in Tirana. Midway to Berati City, the serene town of Belsh awaits. Here, a short coffee break by the largest of the town’s 84 lakes offers a chance to savor the coffee while admiring the stunning landscape.
• Berat Castle - Upon arrival in Berat City, known as the “City of a Thousand Windows,” the adventure continues.

Before exploring the city center, the group will ascend the castle hill to visit the castle itself. During the walking tour, the rich history of this ancient city will be unveiled, with visits to several sites including:
-Saint Mary of Blachernae Church, the oldest church in Berat
-Church of the Holy Trinity
-The Water Cisterns of the Castle
-The Red Mosque
-Constantine the Great Garden …and much more.

After this enriching experience, a traditional Albanian lunch with a local family living within the castle will offer a deeper understanding of Albanian culture.

• Berat - Post castle visit, the descent to the city center leads to the famous Mangalemi neighborhood. The remarkably preserved architecture of the buildings here transports visitors back to the Middle Ages. It’s intriguing that these Ottoman-era houses are still inhabited. The walking tour of the city center will include notable landmarks such as:

-The city gate and former Pasha’s residence
-The Sultan’s Mosque
-Bachelors’ Mosque
-The Hanging Bridge
-Berat’s lively boulevard
-Gorica Bridge, and more.

The group will walk to the Gorica Bridge, one of Albania’s most beautiful and ancient bridges. It once served as the sole connection between the two parts of the city divided by the Osumi River, linking the Gorica and Mangalemi neighborhoods. Walking along the stone roads of the Gorica neighborhood, just as many did centuries ago, is a unique experience.

• Durres - As the tour concludes, it won’t end in Berat. Instead, an alternative route back to Tirana will pass through Durres City, one of Albania’s largest port cities. A stop at the expansive sandy beach of Durres allows sea enthusiasts to enjoy the water while everyone awaits the sunset over the Adriatic Sea.
