Beyond excellent!! - An absolute blast with this tour!! Beyond 5 stars! 8 of us were scheduled as a group. Jonathan and Jason were truly fabulous guides. They shared the entire history of Belize on the van ride and made the long trek to the ruins super fun. We had the jaguar caves scheduled and it was flooded so they quickly improvised and got us on another cave tour. We had the entire float through the caves all by ourselves, which was amazing and so full of history and knowledge of the Mayan Culture. Everything throughout the day felt exclusive and just perfect for our group. Out of all the tours we’ve done as a group this has by far been the best experience we’ve had. Thank for making our day so incredible.

Wonderful tour with Israel! - Great tour, nice way to see Belize, some beautiful ruins and float through an amazing cave. Israel was a great tour guide and we learned so much about the ruins, the jungle and Belize. Don’t forget to bring your water shoes for the cave tubing!

Robin was our tour guide... - Robin was our tour guide and he was not only personable, but had great insight into the history and culture of the Mayan civilization. He made the tour a truly enjoyable experience and I would highly recommend him.

Best Excursion Company in Belize! - 10/10 Highly recommend Truly Wild for all of your excursion needs! We booked a Mayan Temple tour and Cave Float that did not disappoint! Johnathan was the absolute best guide! From patience to a plethora of knowledge he made it the most amazing experience. Words cannot describe our gratitude and we will be booking again in the future!

Thanks, Johnnie! - I highly recommend this tour. The Mayan ruins are a truly amazing experience. I initially thought the cave tubing would just be something overly touristy but it ended up being equally amazing. I've done a lot of excursions in a lot of places and I can honestly say Jonathan "Johnnie" is the best guide I've ever had. Not only was he a wealth of information on our tours, he is a wealth of information on Belize itself. We learned a great deal from him and really enjoyed his company. Give that man a raise, he deserves it.

A memorable journey by land and water - We had an amazing day with Robin as our informative and friendly tour guide. We loved visiting the ruins at Xunantunich and hearing his stories about the history and careful excavation/reconstruction of the site. I struggled a bit physically to climb to the top of the site, but Robin was there every step of the way and was so helpful when needed. His positive attitude and encouragement were greatly appreciated. I would not have made it to the top without him, and what a view it was! We were booked with another group who wanted a private tour, but Robin was so diplomatic and worked very hard to make sure they were happy as well as attending to us. He is a gifted diplomat. After the ruins, lunch was delicious. To ensure we didn't have to wait, he got our orders and phoned ahead to have them prepared when we arrived! Cave tubing was a great was to end the tour, relaxing after a long day being guided by Robin through the tunnels while telling us more about the local culture and history. I highly recommend this tour withTruly Wild Belize and Robin! Thank you so much.

Wish we had been given a head’s up - The actual places/excursions themselves were fine. Best parts - they were not crowded, lunch was tasty. We were told that morning (at pickup) that the road to the ruins were flooded so we could not go to them. 7am is not the ideal time to learn this info for a group of 6 of us - especially since the company and guide knew this for over a week. We ended up being able to go, but had to hike an extra mile each way to get there. Also, we picked 2 people up along the way - normal - but the guide waited over 30 minutes for them, even going to their hotel room and waking them up while we just waited in the van. The trip is mostly driving - 3 hours to the ruins, 2 hours to lunch/tubing, about 3 hours back. Guide was ok. I don’t feel like we learned a ton and the information he shared was random and sporadic (at one point going on a tangent about schools in Belize and school uniforms?). Due to the unexpected additional hiking and waiting for the other guests (we also had to wait for them to be dropped off because they apparently had to pay still so we sat around after a very long day while they negotiated with the guide), we ended up spending 12 hours instead of 10 hours on the tour and the whole group agreed that - if we had relevant info ahead of time - we all would have skipped this one.

I wish I would have known it be a 12 hour shift - The experience definitely was not what I expected. Ordinarily, when we book excursions we usually rely on the hotel or another agency. This was the first time we booked directly, prior to traveling. We had a 7am pick up time, while we were waiting one of the hotel staff asked where we were going. Once we told him, he said, “Oh, that was flooded and he wished we would have booked through the resort. Right after that happened, our driver showed up. We asked him about it and he said oh yes, that’s why some people canceled. You would think a trustworthy business owner would not have allowed us to even book the excursions we or at least contacted us prior to the event and be forthcoming with that information. We were extended that professional courtesy. Instead, our driver gave us options of going somewhere else or only doing the cave tubing. When he noticed our displeasure, I’m assuming he contacted his boss to see what the options were. We went on to the next stop, which had a 7:20 pick up. When we arrived, the guests were not at the pick up location. We waited about 10 minutes and they were still a no show. Our driver said the owner told him he had to wait for the other guests. Then we followed their hotel staff across the road to the living quarters where they literally went to the their room and they were not ready. He came back and told us they would be ready soon. We ended up waiting 30 minutes on the van for 2 people and we were a party of 6. What would be your response? You would think the people would get on the van and apologize, but No! The one thing that is most precious is time and we’ll never get that back. Now the driver did try to make the situation a little better by stopping at the store to get drinks and snacks along the way, however, he didn’t even apologize until the end of the 12 hour day. The excursion was way too long and you need real shoes for the cave tubing not just regular water shoes. There was a 30 minute walk on rocks and you feel every cobble stone. It was unbearable.

Waste of money - Every country I go to I always want to go on excursions and explore the counties historical aspects. This was by far the worst tour I have ever been on. We were a party of 6. We had a 7 am pick up. One of the employees at our hotel told us the ruins we flooded. When we were picked up by our tour guide he mentioned the river where the ruins are were flooded and we would have to walk a mile to get to the actual ruins because we couldn't cross the river by car. We went to pick up another couple who had a 7:20 pick up time. When we arrived at their hotel we were informed they were still sleeping. So the tour guide said they would be ready in about 10 mins......they did not come down to the van until 7:53am so we waited over 30 mins for them to come down. ABSOLUTELY NO RESPECT FOR OUR TIME!! As we still had to drive 3hrs to get to the ruins and because we now have to walk to the actual ruins this will add additional time. Once we go to area and took the ferry over the bridge the mile walk was mostly up hill. It was extremely exhausting and if I knew then I would never have gone on this trip. From start to finish it was supposed to be 7am to 5pm pick to drop off......we did not arrive back to our hotel until 7:30pm. This was a complete waste of my day and time. BY FAR THE WORST COMSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER RECEIVED
