The drive from Belize City to Nohoch Che’en Reserve is approximately one hour.

On the way to San Ignacio town we will make a stop at the Nohoch Che’en Reserve.
This 19 miles network of caves is located in the Caves Branch Valley of the Cayo District.

This basic tour includes a jungle walk and a gentle float through the caves. With the aid of a headlamp we will witness cave fishes and a number of amazing Maya painting situated on the cave ceilings.

Once at the site, we will gear up and hike for 45 minutes before going into one of the cave entrances that makes up the cave system. With the aid tubes, we’ll gently float downstream through the cave passages, as you observe and learn about the remarkable geological features of the cave and the nature of the Maya civilization.

When emerging from the cave, we continue to float through the lush rain forest and end the tour back at the parking area. After changing into dry clothing, we enjoying fruits and refreshments and head to town.
