- Manasija Monastery - Enjoy a scenic 1.5-hour drive to our first stop, Manasija Monastery, nestled among the green hills of the vibrant Resava gorge. Built in the early 15th century during the reign of Despot Stefan Lazarevic, the complex is encircled by 12 towers designed to protect the Church of Saint Trinity from the Ottomans. The Manasija monastery fortification, with its walls and towers, is the best-preserved fortification complex in medieval Serbia. The monastery’s frescoes are considered one of the greatest achievements of medieval Serbian art, making it a true gem of Serbian medieval culture.
- Resavska Cave - The tour continues to the 80-million-year-old Resava Cave, discovered by a local shepherd in 1962 and opened to the public ten years later. Today, it is one of the most visited caves in this part of Europe, known for its rich cave formations like stalagmites and stalactites. The tunnels stretch for 4.5 km, with over 2 km explored and 800 m accessible to visitors. The cave maintains a constant temperature of 7°C year-round, with air humidity between 80 and 100%. The cave tour lasts 40 minutes, so warm clothing is recommended.
- Vodopad Veliki Buk - Next, we head to Lisine waterfall, one of Eastern Serbia’s top attractions. Here, in this stunning location, we will take a lunch break, offering you the chance to try the best trout fish in Serbia.
- Krupajsko Vrelo - Our journey continues to Krupaj Spring, located 30 km from Lisine Waterfall on the west side of Beljanica Mountain. This karst spring is one of the most beautiful in Eastern Europe, with its turquoise waters sure to leave you breathless.
- Belgrade - We then drive back to Belgrade (2 hours) and drop you off at your accommodation.

Amazing Serbian History - Amazing day trip With the wonderful guide Nina and best driver Ranko. I do highly recommend to make this day trip , beautiful places and with a lot of wonderful Serbian history and of course the well known Rakia🤭
Happy of the choice I did, and definitely one day will come back and discover more.

A very professional and enjoyable tour; we highly recommend! - We joined the Gems of Eastern Serbia tour and the entire experience was full and enjoyable from start to finish. Our driver Ranko and our guide Jelena, were fantastic. Right on time, we were picked up from our hotel door with big smiles :) Throughout the tour, Jelena shared everything we needed to know in detail, without taking a single break. We saw amazing locations that it would be difficult to go on our own. And at the end of the day, she gave such great recommendations regarding where to go, what to eat etc. that we ended up spending the next two days following her suggestions :) We're so glad we listened to her-otherwise, we would have missed out on a lot. Thank you guys!

JELENA I MILAN - a dream team. One of a kind in every way! - Having left Serbia when it was still a part of Yugoslavia, I am a bit of an expat in my own country these days. I decided to do something special for my birthday and picked Eastern Serbia Tour. I wanted to get to know the Monastery Manasija and visit exceptional nature surrounding it. The ad had a good vibe and I expected it to be interesting.
The experience has largely surpassed my expectations! Stunning beauty of the Monastery, warm welcome we received from the priests and local community, lush autumn colors accompanying us through the hilly landscape, mesmerizing Resava cave and mysterious waterfalls we visited certainly had to do with it. Not to mention a fun group of fellow travelers who enriched and intrigued me with their stories and experiences. Yet, I need to say that the key ingredient of this day to remember were JELENA and MILAN. Their professionalism is top level, only surpassed by their generosity and warmth. Very knowledgeable, JELENA is cheerful and helpful in every way. It is beautiful to see such a committed young woman who anticipated our questions and made us feel at home wherever we went - taking our photos in the best spots, advising us on the best way to eat trout, explaining Serbian wedding customs and directing a small chorus singing Happy Birthday to me. MILAN is a very skillful driver, yet his role went beyond just getting us from one amenity to another. He organized Rakija tasting for us at a lovely spot - on a stone bridge - and presented nine types of this traditional Serbian spirit. He explained the way different types are produced and suggested in which order they should be tasted. This dream team is much more than their roles - they are authentic Serbian Ambassadors. E viva!

Day trip full of fun - Jelena is wonderful guide -cheerful, knowledgable, professional, gave me Serbian book recommendations that I followed and am very happy with.
The driver was very calm, observed how passangers are feeling since the rodas were very winding.
The spots to visit gave very nice impressions about the beauty of the country.

There’s a reason why they are #1 - Fast and very responsive via WhatsApp. The tour to Eastern Serbia (covering the Manasija Monastery and the Resava cave) was very well organized. Driver Aca and our guide Jelena were absolutely amazing.

Well worth it! - Such an amazing day! Really easy process. Picked up round the corner from our accommodation and dropped off in the same place. Nina and Ranko were lovely and very helpful. They provided water and were happy to answer all questions. All of the locations were stunning and easy to walk around. The place we went for food was the best meal I have had in years and very reasonably priced. The tour is a little pricey but afterwards I do feel that it was worth what we paid. Nina was very knowledgable and she and Ranko went above and beyond to make us feel like a priority. A great way to see some of the more natural side of Serbia.
