Highlights
  • Antrim - We will collect you in style in a luxury Paddywagon Coach. Your tour begins with a scenic drive up through the Glens of Antrim to the North Coast of Ireland. We collect passengers from the cruise ship at 07:30 for departure @ 08:00. Where your ship docks later than 07:30 the tour will begin 30 minutes after disembarkation commences.
  • Giant’s Causeway - We allow ample time at the Giant’s Causeway to make your way down to visit this famous World Heritage Site. It is a 20 minute walk from the Drop Off point to the amazing Causeway site, but there is a shuttle bus that operates for a small charge, ideal for those not comfortable walking up and down the steep gradient (hill) to the Causeway. The hexagonal basalt rocks really look like they were man made and this leads the people in Ireland to believe they were carved by Ireland’s most famous Giant Warrior: the great Finn MacCoole. There is also a suggestion they may have been formed by Volcanic activity 60 million years ago. There is a charge of £11 payable at the site to visit the new Causeway visitor Center which has shops, a multimedia show and restaurants.

Stoppage times are dependent on your cruise liners schedule**

  • Antrim Coast Road - We enjoy amazing sights as we take a panoramic drive along the North Coast of Antrim, - also known as the Causeway Coast. This area is recognized by the Government as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is truly breathtaking with rugged cliffs, sandy beaches, and wonderful views of Scotland.
  • Dunluce Castle - We will stop for one of the most impressive photo opportunities in Ireland, the magnificent Dunluce Castle. Part of this impressive ruin crumbled into the sea in the 1600’s. This castle is connected to the mainland by a bridge and was once the stronghold of the McDonnell clan. The backdrop of the ocean and North Coast make this a really dramatic photo stop!
  • The Dark Hedges - We visit the most popular natural phenomena in Northern Ireland, the Dark Hedges. The trees were planted in the 18th century by the Stuart family to impress their guests upon arrival to their house. Most of you will recognize the Dark Hedges as King’s Road from the hit TV series Game of Thrones. It is a wonderful photo-stop and an opportunity to be a part of a real life set!
  • Belfast City Centre - In the afternoon we return to Belfast City for a panoramic sightseeing tour. We will show you the highlights of this vibrant City, including City Hall, the River Lagan, Queens University, St Anne’s cathedral and Prince Albert memorial Clock. After the panoramic tour, we will allow free time for more sightseeing and shopping if your departure time allows.

PLEASE NOTE: If your ship is leaving earlier than normal we will have to alter the itinerary as necessary.

  • Great Northern Mall, Great Victoria Street, Belfast - We structure each tour to make sure you are back on board in ample time for departure. The service ends back at the dockside after approximately 8 hours on tour. If the boat is leaving earlier we will amend the itinerary as necessary.

Thomas gave us Northern Ireland in the best way!!! - You couldn’t ask for a more delightful and well-informed tour guide of Northern Ireland than Thomas. As a lifelong resident of Belfast, whose family lived through the Troubles, he provided unbiased and knowledgeable insight into the Belfast community, past and present. From there we travelled (very comfortable in our small coach perfect for the 4 of us) into the lush countryside making our way to the breathtaking Northern Ireland coastline and the Causeway of Giants, a must see. We were fortunate enough to have lunch at the Fullerton Arms where my friends loved the fish and chips; for me it was the incredible seafood chowder! Not to be missed is the Dark Hedges, even if you are not a fan of the Game of Thrones series. After a stop at The Dark Horse Pub in Belfast (stunningly decorated) and a chat with a delightful local retired barrister, we made our way back to the ship with time to spare. Thanks, Thomas, for a fantastic day!!!!

Thomas’ fantastic Belfast and North Ireland tour! - Thomas was fantastic guide personalizing our tour to what we wanted. Funny yet very informative. We were able to do so much more than what the cruise excursion could offer all in the comfort of a car instead of the huge travel bus

Ireland Executive Travel - 1st Class - Had just a fantastic trip with Seamus O’Neill. We were able to visit all of the “Must See Sites” and in addition take the back roads to those great little remote places the big bus tours can’t go. We would highly recommend booking a day tour or other with Mr. McNeill!!

Great Day at the Causeway - Awesome tour with Daren! Had some great laughs along the way. Lots of history shared by Daren. The coastal ride to the Causeway was breathtaking. Wonderful stop at Dunluce castle where we got to see the remaining structures and read about its history. We also stopped for some delicious scones! Great day… thank you Daren 🙂👍

Fun excursion - We had a great time on this excursion! Comfortable bus and a fun and knowledgeable guide, Dom. We were picked up by the ship and returned home with plenty of time to spare. Plenty of time was given at the Giant’s Causeway and then we stopped at a great little shop for lunch.

Bus troubles ruined trip - Despite the very enjoyable places we went, and the excellent guidance of Thomas, my strongest memory of this tour will always be getting cooked. It was a hot day, which I understand is unusual, but the driver said the air conditioner didn’t work, unless he ran the heat. it was 33°C or approximately 92°F. The heat blew from the bottom registers on to my feet two hours each way. About every 15 minutes or so. We would get a five minute blast of air conditioning. By the time we returned to port, pretty much everybody on the bus felt ill from the heat. We also had trouble leaving the Giants Causeway when the bus door wasn’t closed and so the bus refused to start. We were all trapped in that hot airless buss until one of the passengers helped figure out how to get the door closed. The whole bus situation really ruined what would otherwise be a very nice tour and we opted to skip our last stop which was pretty upsetting but we didn’t want to take a chance of missing our ship because the bus wouldn’t start. It was also difficult to find the bus in the morning. There are a lot of buses at port.. Most of the time there is a sign in the bus window or there is a guide holding a sign. There was nothing in the bus window and the guide didn’t show up on time. In fact, we were not sure we were even going to get a guide. Once he arrived, Thomas was an excellent guide and I really appreciate his commentary over the long trip.

Terrible - They never picked us up at the port and never answered the phone or messages… we did not get an email saying it had been cancelled, so we waited for them for more than an hour…. I would definitely not recommend them…

A tour that should never happen - Terrible tour- The bus did not have a functioning air conditioning system and the temperature on the bus was 31 degrees centigrade. The driver could not get the bus to shift into gear and we waited for over ban hour before he was able to fix the problem. The tour guide cancelled the remainder of the tour because so many of the passengers were becoming sick from the high temperature.
