- We had a fabulous tour with Tony. He was very professional, knowledgeable and fun. The car was comfortable and Tony was a careful driver. I didn’t have a great depth of knowledge about the history of Belfast but after Tony’s tour and his patience I am now more enlightened to the struggles and pain the country experienced. May the country heal their wounds and move forward. Thanks Tony lovely meeting you.

Tour with Tony - We took a political taxi tour of Belfast with Tony and it was hands-down one of the most meaningful experiences of our trip. Our guide was exceptional—knowledgeable, thoughtful, and deeply engaging. He didn’t just recite facts; he shared personal stories and offered nuanced perspectives from both sides of the conflict. Tony patiently answered all our questions, no matter how big or small, and helped us understand the complex and still-evolving history.

This was by far the highlight of my trip to Belfast - Thanks to Tony for an absolutely outstanding tour. Belfast is a fantastic city with a complex and painful past, and learning about it from someone who has lived through it is something that will stick with me for a long time. The history and politics were explained so clearly, thoughtfully and sensitively. Understanding, empathy and communication are vital, not just to Belfast, but to the world - and the work guides like Tony do is so important. This was by far the highlight of my trip.

Few questions remain, Alan. - Alan was a wee bit late and asked us what we knew about the troubles. We said we very recently saw the series ‘say nothing’. He didn’t really seem to get that we saw that because he later said he didn’t want to spoil the plot for us. took us to the flat where Jolean mconville had lived. He showed us a photo of her grave which seemed freshly dug. He explained that her husband had passed recently and wanted to be added to her grave. This struck me as odd, because in the series she was a widow. And so I looked it up and indeed she was a widow. It was just his name that was added to Jean McConville's memorial at Roselawn Cemetery. Arthur McConville died of natural causes in 1972 and was buried in a different grave at that time. When Jean's remains were found and buried decades later at Roselawn, it was her grave. The family's decision was to add Arthur's name to her headstone, symbolically reuniting them and honoring both parents on a single memorial, rather than moving his actual remains. Alan had told us that his daughter participated in the 2012 Olympic games and she won a medal and she wore both flags, the union flag and the Irish flag and that she was photographed putting her middle finger up to the cameras. I could not find her. could u send her name please, Alan? [email protected]

Great experience with Alan - Alan was fantastic! So, so much information and personal anecdotes. He was pleasant snd entertaining. Our only wish would be for a little more time, it was so much to take in during only an hour. I think 2 hours would be ideal, even at a higher cost.

Very good. - Extremely knowledgeable guide who was articulate and passionate! It would have been even better if we were moving around while he was explaining (ie most of the time was just standing at his car listening).
