A Warm Welcome to Bela-Bela

Our journey began with a warm welcome at the OR Tambo Airport, where we were whisked away to the charming roadside farm stall, Toeka se dae. This delightful stop was a feast for the senses, offering an array of home-baked goods, fresh farm bread, and a variety of game-biltong. The kids were particularly fascinated by the curios and the chance to try some traditional South African treats like “vetkoeke” and “bobotie.” It was a perfect introduction to the local culture and flavors, setting the tone for the adventure that lay ahead.

After indulging in the local delicacies, we made our way to the Forever Resort Warmbaths for a rejuvenating soak in the mineral-rich waters. The healing properties of the water were a welcome relief after our travels, and it was a joy to see the kids splashing around, their laughter echoing in the warm air. Adventures with Elephants

The highlight of our trip was undoubtedly the encounter with the majestic elephants. At the Adventures with Elephants, we were given the rare opportunity to interact with these gentle giants in a way that was both educational and deeply moving. Our adventure continued with a thrilling zipline experience at Thaba Monate, where we soared above the treetops, taking in the breathtaking views of the Waterberg landscape.
