Mutianyu Great Wall - An English-speaking driver will pick up guests from their hotel at a time of their choosing. The journey to the Great Wall at Mutianyu from downtown Beijing takes approximately 1.5 hours. Located northeast of the city, this section of the Wall is one of the most popular attractions. Although it is slightly further away, it attracts fewer tourists.
Visitors can take a cable car up to the Wall, and this is the only section that offers a toboggan ride down. The toboggan ride promises plenty of fun.
Upon arrival, the driver can assist with purchasing tickets. After spending a few hours hiking and capturing photos, guests will return to their hotel around 4:00 pm.
If interested in visiting other sections, a customized itinerary can be arranged.
The start time is flexible. During holidays or weekends, it is advisable to start earlier to avoid crowds. Please indicate when booking if an early start is preferred.

Extremely busy Great Wall visit! - Due to poor weather we actually visited Badaling as Mutianyu was closed. The company were excellent in keeping us informed. Our driver Matthew was very friendly and gave us lots of information about life in China. He helped us to get tickets for the cable car. Would highly recommend them.
The Great Wall was very very busy. Wear sturdy shoes and be prepared for the crowds. Amazing views,glad we saw it in the end.

Solo journey to Badaling - I had a wonderful experience from start to finish. Booking was easy. Communication (English) was seamless, even considering we had to change the portion of the Great Wall that I was scheduled to visit due to weather.
I’m already planning to book again with Jimmy and his team during my next trip China.

Recommend this fully - We are so happy we decided to book this trip. The Great Wall is, as always, an impressive experience. Matthew picked us up at the hotel at the agreed time and spoke excellent English. Even though we had to wait for a long time on the wall to take the toboggan down, Matthew was all smile when we came back down. He suggested easy places to find food and drinks, and was very patient. We were so happy with the service, we went on to book airport transport through Violet as well, and she was very helpful in recommending departure times etc, and answered all our questions very quickly. I would really recommend this service.

Amazing service by Lillian - Lillian was a wonderful driver and guide. She was only supposed to be our driver but she went above and beyond to make sure we got to the top safely. It was a rainy day and she did a wonderful job helping us to navigate the various parts and giving us pointers to where to go. We really appreciated her help and her friendliness.

Visit to the Great Wall - We booked this trip from a lovely person - Ling who suggested that Monday is not a good time to visit due to the maintenance day at the forbidden City and people will go up to the Great Wall.
We had our driver, David, pick us up from our hotel. On the way, we discussed the Great Wall. He provided good information. We then decided to take the cable car - which is rather costly but essential in our case. He organised tickets before we arrived.
David stopped his car closest to the cable car station so that it was not too far for us to walk, since one of us is on a walking stick. The road was steep and wet going up there, but David was very kind, holding onto one of us tightly. He knew exactly where to take us including a lift to the cable. I noticed many elderly people didn’t realise this! We were lucky as there were just handful of people using the cable car - the trip was short, very short!
Once up there, more steep steps to follow accompanied by a very heavy fog. So, words of advice - check the weather forecast before you book! We weren’t there for long as the mist was very heavy. However, it made the experience more powerful and poignant. Overall, we found the service excellent!

Great Wall great driver. - Great driver. Great trip. Good for people who want to have a private ride to the Great Wall. Driver is also able to help you book tickets that you prefer, so you won’t have to deal with any queues for the tickets. Will definitely recommend this for people who want to have flexibility of transportation.
