The giant panda, the rarest member of the bear family, is one of the world’s most endangered species. Listed as endangered on the World Conservation Union’s (IUCN’s) Red List of Threatened Species, there are only about 1,600 giant pandas remaining globally, and you’ll have the delightful chance to observe some of them here.
After visiting the pandas, the next stop will be a local restaurant for lunch, which will take about 40 minutes. Following lunch, the journey will continue to the Great Wall at the Mutianyu section, taking approximately one and a half hours. During the drive, the guide will share fascinating stories about the Great Wall.
- Mutianyu Great Wall of China Tower 20 - Upon arrival at the Mutianyu Great Wall, you can choose to take either the cable car or the ropeway to reach the wall, saving both time and energy. Once on the Great Wall, the guide will accompany you for exploration, and there will also be free time for personal discovery. The Mutianyu Great Wall is famous for its breathtaking scenery. Surrounded by dense forests and lush pastures that change colors with the seasons, it offers a spectacular view. Constructed mainly with granite, this section of the Great Wall has its own distinctive charm. After exploring the wall, you can opt to take the cable car, ropeway, or even the toboggan for an exhilarating descent. Finally, after the Great Wall adventure, you will be transported back to your hotel in Beijing.

Tour was the highlight of my entire China trip - I had a spectacular time on this tour. Cindy was really wonderful and so was our driver, Mr. Han. Everything was so professional and carefully planned. Loved the Great Wall and toboggan ride, the jade store tour, lunch (good selection of western-friendly chinese food), and of course the pandas! Cindy was so knowledgeable and a great companion (even gave me travel tips for my other destinations) - so much so that I did another tour with her and Mr. Han two days later. Some major bucket list items crossed off on this trip - would never have been able to manage it all on my own.

Pandas and Great Wall with Sherry - Our tour guide Sherry was amazing! On the drive she told us about the history of China and some fun facts. She was more than happy to answer all of our questions. We then went to the Pandas and they were so cute and playful. Next we had a yummy lunch and went to the Great Wall where we got to take our time and get lots of amazing photos. I highly recommend as it was the highlight of our trip!

Perfect day - The day with Jay was perfect! He picked us up in the lobby of our hotel and he was our guide for the whole day, a driver was extra. Jay talked with us a lot about the culture in China and sights and Food :) the Pandas were cute and the Great Wall was stunning! Jay took a lot of photos from is and it was interesting to spend the day with him! Thanks! Can recommend it!!

Recommend this trip - Although the weather is very hot, we are enjoying the trip. Sophie our tour guide is very pleasant, nice and understand our needs. Worth a trip. If you booked private tour, ask for Sophie as a tour guide

Fun day trip to the zoo and Great wall with 2 kids - It was the first time taking our kids ages 8 and 3 to the great wall. My wife and I had been there many times but this was the first time getting a guided tour.
Our guide Athan and driver Mr. Tang made the experience truly seamless and enjoyable for our whole family. Athan was a great guide explaining to us the history of the Great wall during our drive there. The stopover at the panda exhibit was definitely a delight for the kids. We were able to see up close 3 pandas and skip the long ticket lines.
The lunch stop was at an authentic local restaurant and we really enjoyed the meal. Athan tailored the menu to suite our preferences and the food was ready and on the table by the time we arrived.
At the Wall, the views were breathtaking, especially during the ascent on the cable car. We hiked up three main towers, and Athan even helped with the kids as my wife and I took in the views and took photos. He also took many great family photos for us. With his help we were able to get both kids to scale to the top most tower where the views were expansive and an original section of the wall could be seen in the distance. At times the incline was more than 70 deg and we definitely could not have done it without his help.
The way down was definitely a huge highlight, speeding down the metal track on the toboggan. Athan even offered to carry my backpack down so my son and I could have an easier time on the ride. It was exhilarating and we were able to get some pretty good speed on the way down. Overall it was a fantastic experience and we'll be finding Athen again next time we're in Beijing!

Worth the money spent - A straightforward tour. Our guide was superb as she suggested that we take a look at the panda first instead of scaling the great wall since it was raining there. Saw the pandas and we quickly made our way to the great wall. Glad that we finally stepped foot at the magnificent architecture. Would love to come again to cover all the lookout posts.
