Ask for Angela! - This was incredible such a highlight to our trip! Linda-Li private tour - "We had the most incredible experience with our tour guide, Linda-Li, during our visit to Beijing. She took us to the Great Wall of China and the Forbidden City, making both iconic sites come to life with her deep knowledge and engaging storytelling. Linda was incredibly attentive, ensuring everyone in the group was comfortable and enjoying the experience. She provided fascinating historical insights and shared interesting anecdotes that made the tour much more than just sightseeing. Lucy was amazing! - We had such a great time with Lucy as our guide. She led us through all of the sites mentioned, relaying so much detailed history and facts that we had no idea we’d learn more about. She also took the best photos of us at each major picturesque spot. We felt safe with her and our driver Gary when it came to transportation, quickly going from place to place but at a pace that worked for us. We were also given advice on the better souvenir shops to go to. Overall, we felt very specially treated on this amazing tour. I highly recommend going on this tour with Lucy, especially after Golden Week!

Perfect for those looking for a worry-free, private, and seamless tour of China. - We had an absolutely amazing time on this tour! Our guide Lucy helped arrange everything for us, including our hotel pickup, admission tickets, and even our photos. She was incredibly knowledgeable as well, and gave us detailed historical descriptions of everything we saw. Our driver Gary was also great and was readily available to pick us up as soon as we finished touring a location. We appreciated having a private van, so we could enjoy our tour on our own time and not feel rushed. They also provided us plenty of water bottles, and the included lunch was also pretty good. It was a Chinese buffet, but they also had some western options for those with pickier palettes. I would especially recommend this to anyone looking for a more private experience, or anyone with older group members who need a little extra time and care when traveling. It was so seamless and nice to know that everything was taken care of for us.

10/10 Experience - Great Wall of China / Forbidden City / Tiananmen Square - with Linda - I had a fantastic trip with Linda. We saw the Forbidden City, the Great Wall of China, went to lunch (included in the price of what I paid) and also went to a little shop near the Great Wall and had a tea ceremony where a lady showed the meanings behind all of the different types of tea that are popular in China.
The trip started with Tiananmen Square, followed by the Forbidden City, when lunch on the way to the Great Wall, then doing the tea ceremony. The driver (Mr Hu) had lots of bottled water in the car. He was very professional, timely, and waited for us between stops.
The part of the Great Wall that I visited includes taking a ski lift up to the top (ticket included in the tour) and then having the ability to sled down. The one thing I will say is that if you aren’t a fan of heights and elevation; the Great Wall might not be for you since at some points on the ski lift / chair lift you are about 200 feet from the ground.
Make sure to bring your passport with you on this tour. It is needed at every site to get in. I think they scanned it somewhere around 3 times at the Forbidden City.
The area felt super safe, no crime in both the Great Wall Area and the Forbidden City. Linda does speak great English which is super helpful. Get the Ali Pay app on your phone to buy stuff (there is an option to buy stuff at the souvenir stores near the bottom of the Great Wall). The only other recommendation that I have is to bring solid shoes to hike the Great Wall. Most of it has handrails for support but some sections don’t. This isn’t a hike or climb that sanders are suitable for.
Lastly - you go through TSA style security at both the Forbidden City and the Great Wall. Plan to leave your backpack (if you bring one) in the driver’s car. This is what I did and all of my stuff was safe. You can bring bottled war into each of the sites without issue.
I would definitely take this tour again with Linda if I visit again with friends or family.

Fantastic guide and fabulous tour! - Lucy was a fantastic guide - so friendly and knowledgeable. We did the day tour, where we visited Tiananmen Square, The Forbidden City and Great Wall. The tour was very well organised and run at a good pace. We also visited a jade factory, where there was the opportunity to buy some jade jewellery or handmade jade ornaments. Afterwards we sat down to a lovely buffet lunch. Seeing the Great Wall was very impressive and the tabogan ride was a lot of fun! At the end there was an opportunity to try Chinese tea tasting, which we really enjoyed. It’s a great way to spend a day when visiting Beijing if your time is here short.

Wonderful day tour to forbidden city and great wall - We did a day tour to the Forbidden City and Great Wall. Lucy was a fantastic guide. She was very friendly and gave us loads of information and history. The tour was very well organised and run at a good pace and we saw soo many different things. Seeing the Great Wall was very impressive and we had fun doing the tabogan ride. At the end there was even a Chinese tea tasting, which we really enjoyed. It’s a great way to spend a day when visiting Beijing.

Informative Guide, Amazing Views & Great Weather! - We had the pleasure of Maggie being our Tour Guide- she’s funny, informative and happy to answer any and all questions. She was super proactive messaging us the night before with things to take with us. We started at with an informative chat at Tiananmen Square before going into the Forbidden City, then a buffet lunch before ending at the Mutianyu Great Wall. She was great with taking photos- even suggesting where we stand as well as giving great info at each stop. Definitely recommend taking the cable car up and the luge down to add to the experience! We lucked out with the great weather too.

Do yourself a favor and book this tour - Such a great experience! Tour guide Lucy was so knowledgeable and kind- she made seeing Beijing so easy! She navigated us through the security at the Forbidden City, got our tickets, and gave us so much history in her very proficient English. The Great Wall was so impressive. Do yourself a favor and book this tour!
