Highlights
- Beijing - You will be picked up from your hotel between 10:30am and 11am. Drive to the Great Wall section at Mutianyu which will take about 1½ hours.
You will have two options for travelling up and down the Wall: round-way cable car and round-way chairlift (or toboggan). You can decide which option you prefer when you arrive. If you choose to go by cable car or the chairlift, it will take seven minutes to reach the top of the Wall, instead of going up by foot might take you 45 minutes climbing steps.
Cable car ascends to and descends from the 14th watchtower. From there, walk east to the 23rd watchtower on the most beautiful part of the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall. And chairlift ascends to the 6th watchtower. It would be a high challenge hiking from the 6th to the 23rd watchtower. According to your physical condition, most of our customers who take the chairlift up and down, hike from tower 6 to tower 14 and turn back to tower 6. Take a toboggan down the mountain which is fun.

Highlight of our trip to China - Bob chen was a brilliant tour guide and our great wall hike was a highlight of our trip to China.He gave us loads of great photo opportunities and we went at a pace which suited us.

Exhilarating! - We finally became “true man/woman”, you’ve just got to experience this.
We took the small group half day tour last week, our knowledgeable and very helpful guide Jin along with the experienced driver Mr. Wong, added to the experience and memories of a lifetime.
Took a little longer than 5hrs as stated but all so worth it.

What a great day at the Great Wall - I was worried that we might not be able to do the tour due to the snow but I then ended up with a private tour as there was a low turnout due to snow and being in December.
My guide Jin was excellent and we had a great walk, it was challenging in the snow but we made it all the way. Lunch was tasty, we ate after the hike which I think was a good idea.

Only warning is make sure you have a feel for the currency exchange if you are buying any tourist items as they start at top dollar.

easy on , easy off - Sunny was great, called me at hotel the night before, arrived at hotel, wall, lunch and hotel on schedule. Gave great history lesson, choices on how to get up and down the wall. Lunch was tasty. i arranged airport pick up and train departure with china highlights which i think is the parent company. Sunny held our hand all the way into the train station and made our departure from Beijing super easy and comfortable.

Overwhelming experience! - Every single aspect of the program was exactly the same like it was written when I booked the tour.
Sunny, the tour guide passionately talked about all the history and was really open to answer all the question the group had.
No hidden costs, no reason to be worried about anything!
The driver came at the scheduled time, Sunny informed me about pickup details the day before, during the tour she kept us updated about each detail; on every way the tour is organised perfectly!
The tour is quite shorter than the other ones, so if you don’t have plenty of time or you want to combine it whit other attractions in Beijing, this tour is the best choice!
There is two options to go up and down: cable car and chairlift (up)-toboggan (down). If you are not afraid of height and want some adventure, I definitely recommend to opt for the second.
Absolutely an amazing day!

Great Visit to the Great Wall, Supper Accomodating - I booked this trip to the Great Wall. 2 days after book, I discovered I had accidentally booked the wrong date less than 24 hours before the wrong date I booked. Fortunately Tracy was super accommodating, was was able to reschedule use for roughly a week later. +1 star for that (although I guess I cant give more than 5 stars)
Lunch was amazing. Some of the best food we had during our time in China. Rico picked great options.
Driver was really good to (I never caught his name). He had the perfect mix of being aggressive enough to feel like we weren't going to be stuck in traffic all day, but being safe enough where I never felt worried about safety.
Everything at the Great Wall went smoothly. The one downside (and this is probably because I am a Ph.D. engineer), is I would have liked more information. Rico spent about 20 minutes talking about the great wall at two different locations, but I would have liked to have learned more. For example, where did the rocks come from, what were the construction methods, what was the 3 building structure in the pass, and even stories/legends about the great wall would have been nice. Once again, I realize that this may not be important to most, and others may even prefer less time talking. This would maybe be -1/2 star, but the flexibility with the booking more than made up for this.
So overall a solid 5 stars.
