Exhilarating and unforgettable - see all three. - Seeing the 3 separate sections of the Great Wall made our experience unforgettable. Huanghuacheng incorporated the lake with challenging and breathtaking climbs and views of the wall. (Easier walk option available as well). Very few tourists. Even more challenging was Xiangshuihu, the climb at times seemed vertical, amazing to think of the effort and suffering that would have gone in to building this magnificent, “wonder of the world”. Again very few tourists. At Mutianyu on the other hand we spent more time queuing but it didn’t seem so bad given what we had already enjoyed. Our guide Peter, was very helpful and accommodating. Thank you

Full Day Tour - visiting 3 sections of the Great Wall - I was collected promptly by Larry and taken to the first section of the wall, it was remote so hardly anyone else was around - it was truly amazing! The climb was a little harder than I had anticipated, but that’s because I’m very unfit!! Larry was great and he looked after me during the day and took lots of photos... the next two sections were very different, I was lucky enough to witness some celebrations at the 2nd section as it was the 70th Anniversary of the People’s Republic of China. The last section was great fun - with a cable car to take you up and a toboggan ride to bring you down!! What an amazing day - would highly recommend to anyone wanting to see different elements of the wall away from the crowds!!

Great tour! - If you want to experience different sections of the wall and can dedicate a day, I highly recommend this tour! Andy was our tour guide and he was able to explain the history of the wall and provide expertise on the areas that were difficult. It was so beautiful to see the different sections and the scenery. I would do this tour again!

A day tour with Ma - Our trip was to the great wall with (MA) our driver, we were picked up on time, to start with, ma was incredibly friendly and informative as well as educational. although I struggle a lot to even try and speak chinese, ma and myself managed to have some great conversation and laugh a lot as well as learn things I didn't know alread. He was very easy going but confident in his ability in all we did. Amazing guide, knowledgeable individual with a broad range of subjects. I really enjoyed having Ma as our guide and driver. 5 star rating all day long ...Thanks MA

Amazing three different perspectives of the wall - It is worth seeing the wall from three different points. You get plenty of time to walk around. It's also not as busy as Badaling. Mr Ma is lovely.

This trip was even better than... -
This trip was even better than anticipated! Sam from Loe's tours in Beijing was an excellent driver. He actually guided us on our
first leg of this adventure. My grandson and I had the best experience on this tourist free section of the wall.
I highly recommend this tour if you want to get off the beaten path and get a feel for the more touristy section of the wall. The bobsled ride down at the end was fantastic.
Ray and Christian B from Texas.

Exactly what I wanted - first time visiting the Great Wall - Great tour. I chose this tour because it offered multiple sections of the Great Wall, and I wanted more than a half-day tour. This tour was perfect for my girlfriend and me. The day before our tour date, the tour company texted me to arrange the pick-up time from my hotel. They (and I) recommend an early start to beat the Beijing traffic out of the city. It was a Saturday morning and we had a 7:40 a.m. pick-up. Our driver, Mr. Ma, was on time, he was very friendly, and he knew his way around. It was a nearly 2-hour drive to Huanghuacheng, which was what I expected. Approaching Huanghuacheng you can see the Wall in the distance; this is a perspective of the Wall worth seeing also. Driving through the villages in the foothills along the way provided some of its own scenery too. Once we arrived, it was a short hike to get to the Wall. Mr. Ma accompanied us for a little bit to direct us along the right path, then we were off to explore on our own, with a rendezvous time back at the car. Huanghuacheng was quite scenic, and it was not crowded. It was my favorite out of the three sections. From there, it was off to Xiangshuihu section (Moshikou Pass). This had the steepest section by far, but it was a fun climb. This was a much smaller section due to the steep terrain. Some sections of the wall in the distance were in disrepair and closed off, but it was not a problem. Finally, on to Mutianyu. This was definitely the much more visited section of the Wall… even touristy you might say. It was certainly more crowded than the previous sections, but this was the reason to visit the different sections… it was nice to have the comparison between them. Here was a visitor’s center, merchants selling their goods and souvenirs, and restaurants. Ride the shuttle bus up to another staging area and then ride the chair lift up to the wall. I imagined what the task to reach the wall was like centuries ago before our modern conveniences. Pretty daunting. Mutianyu, like the other sections, was amazing. Just more people. Especially the line to ride the toboggan down. Budget your time at Mutianyu to allow for the toboggan line. It was long, but it moved fairly quickly, and it was worth the wait. Everybody in line was having a good time anyway watching the action ahead of them and waiting their turn. At the bottom, we connected to the shuttle bus again and met Mr. Ma upon exiting the bus. By this time it was nearing the end of the day and we picked up some food on the way out. We got back to the hotel around 5 or 6 pm, and Beijing traffic in the evening was worse than in the morning. Overall, if you want to see more than one section of the wall, do this tour. Plan for the whole day. It worked perfectly for what I wanted. I appreciate that there were no shopping stops. And again, compliments to Mr. Ma who helped make the trip relaxing and worry-free.

3 different outstanding experiences on the Great Wall, not alot of crowds! - I had an amazing tour of the Great Wall! I want to thank Sam, my tour guide, for his insight and recommendations, and the great conversation! While the weather forecast for Saturday, April 21 was bad (1-2" rain in Beijing), he kept me positive, and upon arrival at our first stop along the Great Wall, Huanghuacheng, the rain held off, and we were able to climb the path to the wall, and the ladder up onto the wall, without issue. At this section, the Wall is adjacent to a lake, and it was a great walk/climb, with only a few others on the wall. The views were fantastic, and I will admit, I'm in decent shape and it was quite the workout! The next stop was Xiangshuihu, which was a small section of the wall, with some incredible views. The last stop was to the Mutianyu section, which I'd been to before, and is one of my favorite vantage points. Thanks again for the amazing tour, highly recommended!

The best first time visit to the Great Wall I could have wished for! - + confirmation and communication about excursion-details well ahead + pick-up on time and excursion according to schedule: no waiting times etc. + helpful englishspeaking driver-guide (Jason) who answered all my questions about China, the people, their traditions and everyday life + 3 very different sections of the Wall with their different assets: toboggan-ride, wild and secluded parts ... - can be physically demanding

Great experience - We had Larry as our driver/tour guide. He was fantastic as a driver. He was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful as a tour guide. He was only suppose to drive us to the different sections of great wall, but he was nice enough to walk with us all the way to the top during the first section, and walk with us all the way to lift on the last section. It was a great experience. We are very happy with our choice
