Forbidden City-The Palace Museum - Enter through the Gate of Heavenly Peace to reach the Forbidden City, home to 24 emperors from 1368 to 1911 AD. Visit the most important palaces on the central axis and chambers on the two wings among its 9,999 rooms, with detailed explanations and expert photography tips. Note: If your visit is on a Monday when the Forbidden City is closed, the royal resort Summer Palace will be visited instead.

Meridian Gate (Wu Men) - Visit

Hall of Great Harmony (Taihe Dian) - Visit the three main halls of the Outer Court where ancient emperors conducted state ceremonies.

Palace of Heavenly Purity - Visit the three main halls of the Inner Court - the emperor’s sleeping quarters and the place for managing daily affairs.

The Imperial Garden of The Palace Museum - Visit the entertainment venue for the emperor and the imperial harem.

Mutianyu Great Wall - After a 1.5-hour drive, arrive at Mutianyu, the best-preserved and most popular section in Beijing. Enjoy a buffet lunch of authentic Chinese dishes with soft drinks. After lunch, hike and take beautiful photos in the less-crowded afternoon for at least 2.5 hours. A round-trip cable car ride or chairlift and toboggan are included, allowing you to choose your preferred option.

To ease the fatigue from hiking the Great Wall, a short tea break is arranged. Experience a Chinese tea ceremony to learn about traditional tea cultures.

Beijing - Afterwards, your guide and driver will take you back to your hotel directly.

Temple of Heaven, Hutong Alleys, Lama Temple & Summer Palace

Temple of Heaven - In the morning, your guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel on time and take you to the Temple of Heaven, where emperors worshiped the God of Heaven for good harvests in ancient times. Note: If your visit is on a Monday when the main sights of the Temple of Heaven are closed, Beihai Park will be arranged instead.

Hall of Prayer for Good Harvest - A large circular palace with a roof covered in three layers of blue glazed tiles where emperors held sacrificial ceremonies.

Hutong Tour - Continue your tour to the Beijing Hutong area, where you can take a rickshaw through the old alleys and peek into the traditional courtyards to see how the old Beijingers lived.

Lama Temple (Yonghegong) - Follow your guide to visit the beautiful old Lama Temple, known as the largest and most perfectly preserved lamasery in present-day China.

Summer Palace (Yiheyuan) - The final stop is the Summer Palace, known as the ‘museum of ancient royal gardens’. Centered around Longevity Hill and Kunming Lake, it is a wonderful imperial resort to admire the serene landscapes and magnificent architecture.

In the end, your guide and driver will return you to your hotel.
