Then you will go to the Mutianyu Great Wall first (1.5 hours driving), which is further section in Beijing area and less crowed. This stretch of the Great Wall is known for its beautiful surroundings – dense woods and rich pastures that change colors with the seasons of the year. It winds its way over 1000 meters to the crest of a mountain, before turning sharply and dipping downhill.
You’ll have around two hours to explore the Great Wall. It takes around half an hour to hike up on foot, or you can choose to take the cable car or chair lift: it’s also possible to toboggan.
- Summer Palace (Yiheyuan) - After your tasty lunch in a local restaurant, you will visit the Summer Palace. It takes a bit over an hour to get there from the Great Wall. The Summer Palace was the royal garden in the past time. There are beautiful many pavilions, mansions, temples, bridges and huge lake, and corridors. While the Long Corridor is the longest one in the world which is on the Genuineness World Records. You will also see famous Seventeen Arches Bridge, Qingyan Stone Boat, Kunming Lake and Longevity Hill there.
After the tour. Then drive you back to the hotel.

Tour with Lucy including the great wall - We spent some amazing days in Beijing and around, by visiting the forbidden city, the summer palace and the great wall. All these exciting places were guided by Lucy, who made our time outstandin! She speaks perfect English and her historical and new-days knowledge about these sites and China is broad and deep. She made also all with a personal touch and we spent a great time with her. Also the restaurants she showed us very fantastic. When to do a trip in China - always with Lucy!

Amazing Tour，brilliant hosts，wonderful experience - This was the most brilliant tour - our guide Linda was so knowledgable and showed us the most amazing sights in Beijing including the summer palace，an amazing tour of the great wall，as well as many others.
This was one of the best guided tours we have ever been on - it was ａvery easy and seamless experience，and Linda sorted all tickets and requirements.
The car was comfortable and
Sun our driver was friendly and drove very well and safely. He also provided plenty of water for us as it was a hot day.

Unforgettable time in Bejing - We spend a wonderful and unforgettable time at the Great Wall, Summerpalace and forbidden city. Our tour guide Lucy was a main contributor to this successful day. Her ability to tell all those interesting and historical stories was outstanding. With her open mind, her social strengths and her wonderful humour it made those two days unforgettable. If we come back to China we will definitely book her again we can only recommend her.

Lucy Wonderful Guide - We traveled with twenty 12-21 aged young men and five adults. The day tour was exceptional to the Great Wall, Jade Factory and Summer Palace. Lucy, our English speaking guide, was very knowledgeable, easy to understand and made it fun for all representing a wide age range. She allowed us to enjoy Beijing in a most enjoyable and educational way.

A Great Day on the Great Wall - Our group of 20 students and 5 adults had a wonderful day with Lucy at the Great Wall and Summer Palace. She was knowledgeable, shared much history on the places, and her English was exemplary. Her directions and suggestions were clear and helpful and she even helped us order pizza delivery from our hotel. We would definitely work with Lucy and her company in the future.

Amazing tour! - Lucy and her team were incredible guides to us for touring the Great Wall and Summer Palace, with stops for meals and souvenir shopping. Lucy is very knowledgeable on Chinese history and provided our group fascinating stories on the bus to prep us for each visited site. At the attraction, she advised us on the best stops for pictures and allowed us time to explore before meeting us.

Great tour with Maggie! - We had a great time with Maggie, who was a great guide. We were able to stop at all the scenic spots that we wanted and did not feel rushed. Maggie was very friendly and very informative, and knew all about the history of the summer palace and great wall. We stopped at a great local chinese restaurant for lunch, which was delicious. The transportation was air conditioned, smooth ride, and picked us up within minutes when we were done with each area. Would definitely recommend this tour especially with Maggie who spoke English very well.

Excellent guide Maggie - Maggie was an excellent guide, she is very kind and pleasant, she explained to us part of the history of Beijing and in addition to that she took care of the tickets for both tourist attractions (the great wall of china and the summer palace), she even took us to eat, The food was delicious, 10/10 super recommended.
The timing was perfect, he never rushed us to continue with the tour and he even took many photos of us.

Wonderful day in Beijing - As 1st time visitors to Beijing on a limited timeline , Lily was extremely quick to respond and helped to organize a wonderful day with our tour guide Lucy
Lucy was extremely knowledgeable (a walking encyclopedia), patient, and attentive to our needs. Being with a nine year old in 102degree heat is not necessarily easy, but we went through our itinerary at a good pace, learned a ton, and enjoyed ourselves.
We highly recommend Lily’s Tours - and ask for Lucy and Gary (best driver in Beijing)!
