Incredible way to experience elephants - This was a stellar experience! We all loved the elephants and this was a wonderful way to get to know them all. We paid extra for the Elephant Sanctuary tour and it was definitely worth it - got to spend extra one on one time with the elephants. The Batu Caves were incredible to see. We went earlier in the day and it wasn’t as hot or busy. Our driver was friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent day and wonderful guide - We had an amazing day with Karthik. He told us about many things along the way to the caves and the elephants. He also went above and beyond and made sure we had many pictures taken.

Amazing experience - Excellent day, driver was early and gave interesting info as we were travelling allowing plenty of time at batu caves and explained about an option of a guide with the elephants, which he then called ahead and arranged for us so he was waiting when we arrived, a brilliant day 😊

Batu caves were of some unique interest but the real joy came from our experience at the Elephant rescue and rehab place - The Batu Caves were a very different temple but the work they are doing to rescue and rehabilitate elephants is extraordinary to witness

Visit - This excursion was very cool. Batu cellars very interesting and beautiful. The sanctuary DE elephants was nice but slightly long considering there are many people there.

Educational - This is more of a transportation pick up and drop off service with knowledgeable drivers. Nagen and Kartik did a great job during the transportation portion and made it easy to understand where we were going. They do not provide a “guided” tour on site but rather some commentary as you make your way to each site. I recommend spending the extra RM for a guide in the Elephant sanctuary who will explain why only a few elephants are on display. Travellers need to understand this is not a zoo to parade animals but to give you understanding on the rehab work being done. Batu caves unless you are visiting for religious reasons , 40min will suffice ,

This should not be called a tour (mortal sin) - Fun stuff to spend money on. Nice gentleman at the beginning, but we felt very hounded. We were given time limits, for example we were given 40 min to an hour. We were EN with 2 chin DER EN and a baby of 9 moon DEn, due to hustle EN safety of moving the baby up and down the stairs it took about 2 hours. We got an angry driver who said if you want to spend more DAN an hour at kualah ganda I will bring you right back to the hotel. Of course, we didn't want that, but we did commit ourselves to it in the end. On the DE route we quickly got a sandwich at the gas station because we had to go quickly. DE driver was driving very fast EN did not take into account that we had a baby on our lap. Nice sight DE but the bad experience with this driver. In all honesty had EN we also expected from a tour that someone would take us and tell us something, nothing was told or explained. We would have preferred to reserve DEN a grab for the whole day DAN it would have cost a DE third of the price. EN DAN you pay so much money! Never again!

This is a huge rip off and not a tour at all! - This was a ride to these areas, not a tour at all. The driver suggested that I pay for a tour guide at the elephant sanctuary because there are 25 elephants and without a guide you will only see around five of them. I paid for the guide and only got to see five elephants. The "tour" of the elephant sanctuary was supposed to be three hours and it was actually less than one hour. The "tour" of Batu caves was only allotted for 1 hour and if I had known the elephant sanctuary would have been so lame, I would have spent more time there instead. There were photos and verbiage about being with and/ or watching the elephants bathing in the river and the guide took me nowhere near any river. Got to see and feed some of the five baby elephants that were in pens and walked through buildings that showed photos of other local animals that they protected and that was it. Because I was solo, I also had to pay a hefty differential from the advertised price. The driver insisted on taking a photo of me at hotel pick up and drop off and at arrival at the two "tours'......a little creepy. When the driver dropped me back at my hotel I gave him a generous tip and he laughed at me......wtf? Don't do it....it's a rip off, you are better off arranging a driver with someone at your hotel, it would be a lot cheaper and basically the same as what you pay for with this "tour".
