Windland Tours AMAZING, Trip Advisor/Viator DISGUSTING AND UNPROFESSIONAL - Trip Advisor's platform gave us the drop down option of -My hotel is not on the list- (for pick-up and hence in that option, I wrote the name of our hotel. If this is not possible, the platform should NOT HAVE LET me continue the booking and payment. BUT IT DID! Goncalo of Windland Tours contacted me directly to inform me that he cannot possibly pick us up from our Lisbon hotel. Did Trip Advisor fix it? NO! After I called overseas to their office in Dublin, all I got is they will try to request the local tour operator ie, Windland Tours if they can give me the refund; then the following day got an email from Trip Advisor that sorry, NO REIMBURSEMENT CAN BE MADE - DESPITE THE FACT THAT WINDLAND TOURS ACTUALLY SAID THAT THEY HAVEN'T RECEIVED THE PAYMENT YET!!! What the ???!!!! Good hearted and professional Goncalo felt bad not giving the service and for me, the customer paying but not being reimbursed, that he offered to do the tour the next day, given that we both have black and white confirmation via email from Trip Advisor that Windland Tours will be paid eventually - as long as my husband and I will go to Fatima for the pick up. A good compromise. We took the early morning Flix Bus from Lisboa to Fatima bus station where Goncalo personally picked my husband and myself up! What a wonderful, most informative day/tour it was! Goncalo knows his history! Very professional. We were dropped off at the Fatima cathedral where we heard mass prior to getting the bus back to Lisbon. Thank you very much Goncalo. AND AGAIN I REPEAT, SHAME ON YOU TRIP ADVISOR FOR YOUR UNSATISFACTORY UNPROFESSIONALISM AND SHAME ON YOU AGAIN IF YOU WILL NOT FIX YOUR PLATFORM PROPERLY!

Excellent experience - EXCELLENT tour guide who is very knowledgeable. Gonçalo was very accommodating and able to tailor the tour to our needs and situation. Highly recommended.

The best 4 day tours ever. - We booked multiple private day tours for just my husband and I. We were met with a smile and hospitality everyday. Vera (the tour guide) made us feel like family. She was very friendly, knowledgeable and went above and beyond to give us the best experience of Portugal. She drove us to each destination and walked us through explaining the history behind each place. She also gave a chance to explore on our own and waited around patiently when we tasted new flavors or bought souvenirs. We had the best time ever.

Ideal option to visit some of the most beautiful monuments in Portugal - Gonçalo was a great guide and the day, despite being long, was very pleasant and not very tiring. The stops at each of the destinations were suitable for us to visit the monuments and learn more about Portuguese history through Gonçalo's detailed explanations. In addition to being extremely punctual, he knows the region and cities like no one else!
