Very cool! Great for kids - The railway up the mountain to Kuranda was really beautiful, the kids really enjoyed the sights from the train. Kuranda was lovely, although a steep walk from the train to the butterfly sanctuary in parts for anyone who may have mobility issues. Kuranda was a sweet little town with a few places to eat and market shops. The kids enjoyed the butterfly sanctuary, favourite being the nursery of baby butterflies. It wasn’t as big as I imagined and we were disappointed to not see the blue butterflies (lucky to see them in the wild though). Rainforestation was the highlight of the day, the army duck ride was incredible and informative. Lunch was amazing and well organised bbq buffet but the performances were the highlight for us. Super interactive with the audience and funny for the kids. The kids really enjoyed having a throw of a boomerang and seeing the animals in the koala park. The skyrail was cool, although for me with a fear of heights a little unnerving, it does go extremely high over some incredible heights. Everyone else in the family including kids ages 7-14 really loved it. The stops to see the falls are worth getting off and having a look at. A long day but plenty of things to see and eat, all not too far from Cairns which is a bonus when travelling with kids.

A full day loaded with... - A full day loaded with fun activities! The time between each activity is not too short or too long- right pace for us to enjoy each activity. The lunch buffet is way beyond my expectations. The best part is taking pictures with Koala- the picture is great for everyone of our family. We got on the tour bus around 7:45 and got back around 6:00pm- it was a long day! We enjoyed every activity! Highly recommend for everyone to visit Cairns!

Grand time - I was very impressed how well organized this tour was with timing and what to expect. Ti (sp) our bus driver was wonderfully friendly and very thorough with her instructions. My favorite was the Butterfly Sanctuary. I was fortunate to be there in time for a tour with Nicole. She is just lovely and you can see how much passion she has for what she does there. Seeing the area of the laboratory where the hatching is done was awesome. It has revived my love for these beautiful tiny creatures. The army duck ride/float was enjoyable. Hope you get the tall German bloke, he was quite amusing. The buffet was delicious with many healthy choices. The dancers were very engaging and entertaining. On the “walk” we learned how the instruments were constructed but his ability playing it was truly amazing. He ended by making animal and bird sounds. The spear throwing demo was spectacular. Can’t even imagine hunting with only that. Last thing on the walk was the infamous boomerang throwing. Of course it was not as easy as it looks for me but it was great fun trying. I even bought a hand painted one for my nephew. The animal area, though small was enjoyable. Before returning to the bus in enjoyed a scoop of ginger ice cream. It was yummy. The sky rail was a nice way to end the tour. Sadly it had become overcast so the views were not as spectacular. I highly recommend this tour whether you are solo, a couple or your entire family. Job well done by the entire staff!!! Kudos!!!

A wonderful, fun filled day. - It was a great day from beginning to end. The views from the train were spectacular. The butterfly sanctuary was amazing. The aboriginal dances and cultural activities were entertaining and fascinating. The animal displays were wonderful. Kangaroos, wallaby are roaming freely with you. Finally, the Skyrail views were without par. The two stops made for great photo ops. A fantastic day all around.

Beautiful views - What an experience. You will have beautiful views from the train and gondolas. The aboriginal dancing was just okay but seeing Koalas and Tasmanien Devils made up for it. Unfortunately there was no tour guide and the participants received maps for the self guided tour.
